Considering that, and so much more, it's kind of funny to hear complaints that something is not "WITHIN REASON"... Guybrush had his neck twirled and twisted, for crying out loud. I can understand people complaining about, for example, Herman-Marley thing, but this... is just not something worth debating.
I just explained my sentiments in my post, all of which you ignored. A giant qtip "key" fitting in his pants is an obvious joke. His pants being a bottomless storage unit is a running in game gag. The winds of the island are not a gag. It's something that's been established as a physical law. It's what the whole damned first episode was about.

Honestly now. If Desinge was that upset that pirates would not be going to Flotsam Island because of the wind changes then there's no real reason or explanation for why Morgan could.

There is one simple life rule: if someone wants or has to get to somewhere, this someone finds a way to get there. If someone doesn't have any reason to get somewhere, he doesn't. Morgan is the only pirate (hunter) that didn't get to Flotsam on a mere accident, therefore there is a way to get to Flotsam... without a ship, most likely. And since most pirates do sail on ships, they WON'T get anywhere near Flotsam because the winds blow outwards now (as Winslow gladly pointed out in Ep2). There is NOTHING that doesn't make sense.

Besides, it's Morgan we're talking about here. She found Guybrush in the end of Chapter 2 (with no ship or anything anywhere to be seen), got back to Flotsam and then somehow catched up with Guybrush in the end, when he was on an absolutley unknown location. It's part of her character to me, kinda what she does.

No, he can't. He's missing the Vacaylian staff, which Guybrush took from him. The wind is blowing out to sea and De Singe cannot change it. However, I suppose Morgan has her mysterious ways. After all, she's a Guybrush wannabe. Could be remedied in a future episode with half a sentence from Morgan, but I wouldn't see it as a problem if this was never explained.

OMG. How sad are you guys?!! Who cares?

1) She rowed
2) The Marquis is a scientist people! He had that MerKey for so long he could've come up with a cobbled together replacement OR for all we know he has a whole RACK of the damn things in his freaky lab - therefore he was able to manipulate the winds again. At some point he HAD to manipulate them (prob off screen during Ep 1) because he had to EMPLOY Morgan in the first place - what was he going to do - dial her 0800 number or text her?!

Give it a rest - the answer is BECAUSE

Honestly, I find it weirder that when he hired Morgan in the first place, he went to change the direction of the winds... Even though they were already blowing towards the island. I didn't really get that part.

OK, that's it, turn off your computer and do something constructive.
Like play a little racquetball.
Or wash your car.
Or cook dinner.
Or join a funk band.
Or travel to a foreign country.
Or run for president.
Or talk to a member of the opposite sex.
Or lube your car.
Or host a weenie roast.
Or dig for buried treasure.
Or milk a cow.
Or have a yelling contest with your neighbor's dog.
Or perform brain surgery.
Or paint a yellow line in the center of your driveway.
Or write your name in the snow.
Or teach basket weaving to clams.
Or sing Welsh folk songs at the bank.
Or plant trees on public property.
Or confuse the person next to you.
Or make a triangular table.
Or hop, skip, and jump.
Or ride a train.
Or organize your sock drawer alphabetically.
Or go bowling with your mom.
Or train potato bugs to do tricks.
Or make a quilt.
Or publish a magazine about pencil shavings.
Or eat lime jello with pineapple in it.
Or pave a freeway.
Or learn to draw.
Or take up photography.
Or learn to tell time.
Or photocopy money.
Or go out for pasta.
Or sew a dress.
Or bathe your iguana.
Or go fishing.
Or paint a stranger's house in the middle of the night.
Or take up windsurfing.
Or change your hair style.
Or sharpen your whiteboard markers.
Or feed a toucan.
Or enjoy the sun.
Or do a crossword puzzle.
Or buy some cool clothes.
Or go to the beach.
Or play croquet with your dad.
Or water your plants.
Or build a doll house.
Or invite some friends over for salmon and white wine.

Seeing that we are only in Episode 2 from 5, I don't see any plotholes yet. After Episode 5 we can discuss plotholes. It like watching only 10 minutes of a 2 hours movie and complain about the plothole already

Also:
"Realism"... Guys... We play another Monkey Island. A series where battery-acid is part of a famous and favourite drink, where Dogs sleep because of flowers, where you use a hypnotized monkey as a monkey wrench, where voodoo works, where science can build a weapon which blows you away, where undead pirates have their HQ surounded by lava with a giant head of a monkey as an antrance.... (I could continue)
So... Let me get this clear... you seriously, after all those monkey island games, ask NOW for realism? You crank me up

Could someone please lock/delete this thread immediately with an official post which explains to the idiots on here that it's a GAME, as people have stated it contains a bunch of inconsistancies such as carrying A SHOVEL IN YOUR PANTS. Last time I checked, that wasn't a plot hole, much like any game character carrying x amount of huge objects in their small inventory wasn't a plot hole. The same applies to the winds, it has it's own mechanics inside the game, and you're just arguing for the sake of it and making yourself look stupid.
