Default Please Telltale make an option to turn running into the default!

I already mentioned this after the first episode, but it was in the middle of an on-going thread, so I thought maybe I should make a whole thread about this to get your attention.

I really love the game, but there is one tiny thing that for me really ruins what would otherwise be a perfect experience - my left pinky finger really hurts through-out gameplay because of constantly holding down the shift button. Really, in the middle of the game I even started to switch to WASDing with my right hand so I could use the index finger to press on the shift button and let my pinky relax.

Please - add an option to make running the default, as I rarely want to "walk" anyway.

I didn't even realise you could run...

That would have made the game so much faster lol.

Maybe an option in the menu, like most FPS games have: "Always Run: ON"

Hmm...I'd actually suggest taking the running feature out of the game completely. That way the game lasts a little longer.
In all seriousness though, I didn't know it existed either. I was fine with walking.

You know what I thought would have been cool?

I recently went back and replayed Curse of Monkey Island, and I noticed that if you wanted to travel to an exit that was far away you could double click it and it would bypass the whole walking there thing and instantly you'd be at the new screen. I tried this when using the raft (and/or right clicking I forget) and it just put me back into the same place.

Nah, running is fine the way it is. I just kinda wish that you could point and click to go places. But I guess that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to see more MI games.

I don't think taking running out is good either...seriously are you enjoying just watching GB walk around more? That seems kinda creepy to me, no offense.

The obvious solution is to have Caps Lock on to force running, then you can toggle it at will without having to drop into the settings menu.

A running switch would be optimal. I can't see the reason to why I must keep an extra button pressed during the whole game.

I wouldn't want running to always be on, since that would make it slightly more tricky to navigate smaller or more specific areas. It's fine as it is - hold shift to run.

If you use the mouse to walk around, holding the right mousebutton while walking makes Guybrush run. That might be a bit easier on your hands.

Also Double-click left mouse button then hold to run.

Yeah, that sounds like a great solution. Also, with capslock on, you could perhaps hold shift to walk which would help navigating smaller areas as planeforger said.

I would also like to have an option to invert running (in other words, when an input would cause GT to walk, he would run, and when an input would cause GT to run, he would walk). I always run around the game and I don't think I ever walk. It just makes sense to have running easier to do than walking in this case.

I like the walking mostly. It's more leisurely to stroll around exploring islands. I usually start using running later on after I've explored a place thoroughly and just want to zip through on my way to another location.

Just use the mouse and hold down the right button.

Controls are great, but I can see people wanting a running always on feature. Still, too late for TOMI.

Alot of adventure games have the option to speed up walking and skip it altogether. The best adventure game doesn't require these as they don't require you to repeatedly travel long distances repetitively, but I definitely appreciate it as I'm excessively impatient in these cases. I hardly have time to play games to begin with and spending a minute walking across a map when it could take 5 seconds really helps alot--this is especially the case is Longest Journey and Vampyre Story--which had the same team working on the MI series at the moment...
