I'm up to the part where I need to replace my mast with the rubber tree.

I've managed to fell the tree but Guybrush says it is too heavy to move.

Now, I've tried to find LeChuck to help me move it but he doesn't appear anywhere and when I look at the cannon on Spoon Isle, Guybrush responds with 'I wouldn't want to distract him while he's playing with it' a la when LeChuck was there.

Can someone let me know whether LeChuck is supposed to be on Spoon Isle and I've got a glitch, or if I'm just barking up the wrong tree.

You're barking up the wrong tree. Leave Lechuck alone.

Someone else might be strong enough to carry trees. Someone who has done it before. Talk to that person.

Can you/anyone give us a clue on how you ''chopped'' it down plz?

PedsterUK: you don't need to "chop" it down; someone nearby will help you.
If there's nobody there, don't worry about it - you don't need it yet.
