Hello I am quite enjoying monkey Island however I simply can not walk counter clockwise around the calendar.

Yeah, it's a little tricky to do. If you're at the right point in the map, the calendar will begin to light up green as you walk around it to let you know you're doing it right. Keep trying!

I'm seriously having trouble with this. All I get is a quick red light and a monkey noise when I try.

never mind i got it. I was walking CLOCKWISE. lol
