Guybrush cuts his way out of the giant manatee with his trusty sword. This manatee turns out to be an endangered species and Guybrush lands in serious trouble and is imprisoned after failing to defend himself successfully in a trial, due to be executed the next morning. As for the pirate god thing, dunno... we'll just have to wait and see!

Here's a thought: anyone noticed that all the ep's names are something of something? I mean, you got:

Launch of
Siege of
Lair of
Trial and Execution of
Rise of

Hint? Or just the way they have decided to name all the Monkey eps?

As for my own speculations, only thing that really came to my mind would be that "Rise of the Pirate God" - IF Guybrush really was executed - would refer to him.

There are three scenarios that a lot of people have been speculating that I REALLY don't want to happen. One is LeChuck actually being nice and sacrificing himself to save Elaine and Guybrush, Guybrush being evil in the end, and having to save LeChuck from Elaine. All of that would be a horrible ending and would take away way too much from the characters. I don't care if LeChuck is acting nice, him sacrificing himself is too much as he has been a villain in all the other games.

All the scenarios would not be exciting enough. The game should end with a conclusion that can make you look at all the chapters in a different way. Ex: LeChuck planned the whole thing. That could add a lot to the other chapters because you can look for hints of his plans in each chapter. Him really being nice is way too dynamic for LeChuck and wouldn't really make much sense given all these lines spoken in the first two chapters. A lot of lines seem to be hinting at an insidious plot, and if there isn't one, then well those lines are pretty meaningless.

Hey, even Pinhead in Hellraiser 2 turned human, turned good and sacrificed himself to save Kirsty.
And, by the way, he was killed by insane, demonic doctor who loves cutting peple's limbs...

I don't know about you lot but I keep getting the feeling Largo WILL make an appearance. But that might just be because of the april fools joke a few years back...

Or maybe it had something to do with Guybrush humming Largo's theme and saying something like "I wonder why that's in my head". And... Largo LaEsponjaGrande

I reckon that the guybrush will be arrested after escaping from the mouth for a series of thefts and crimes commited around the islands. LeChuck will infact be behind the crimes using his army of trained monkeys he has been hiding on the islands. Guybrush will be excuted and brought back to life much like in the previous game where you have to cash in on your own life insurance policy.

Rise of the pirate god doesn't refer to a person but a ship rising from the ocean, possibly De Cava's submarine modfied by lechuck.
