Does anyone else think it is ironic that this comes from "Caribbean Queen"?

Thumbs down Wow. That's clever

I'm a woman. And I'm not against anyone or anything - I just feel that the game has too many gay overtones. That's it. No need to insult back and forth. It's just too much for me. Sorry if you feel you need to attack an opinion. Shows how far we've come here - where "diversity of opinion" means you'll tolerate any opinion that is YOURS.

If the jokes are obvious for a 10 years old, what's wrong with them? It the 10 years old gets the joke, it doesn't teach him anything. He just thinks "What a funny gay joke" or "What a lousy gay joke" and that's it! And heterosexual jokes are much more obvious in Siege of Spinner Cay (Siege of Spinner Gay)
And as I said, you can't denny the existance of gay people.
And why aren't you complaining about voilence? Come on, Guybrush gets his hand choped at the very begin!

Exclamation Angry? I think more disappointed.

No I will not be "angry" and I please wish you would not try to use the tactic of pidgeonholing someone as some "hater." As I said - this is just not what I thought would be the main mast of humor in this series.....it's a one-trick pony. And boring. And the easy way out in terms of humor-development. Maybe the Lair of the Leviathan will be tho tho thcary and then we can all laugh heartily me lads at the oh-tho-clever thexual humor. Har.

There was another thread around here someplace where we were discussing the game's ending--aside from the potentially brain-breaking finale, there's the bit where LeChuck gets his leg rather gorily ripped off. I think the general consensus on that was that it was one of the most disturbing scenes in the series so far.

Overachiever. And eh, I'm not saying kids won't play these games (they do, obviously), just that a lot of it is going to go over their heads and/or not be entirely appropriate.

There really isn't a lot of gay overtones. The De Singe just acts very flamboyant, but I never really thought of him as gay. And if he is, so what? It's not like the game is showing anything graphic. As for the Winslow thing, I just found that to be funny. Everything else seemed to be regular jokes with no gay undertones. Also, this games isn't exactly made for ten year old. All the games are made for people a little bit older.

Because while the game can be funny and silly, the stories are usually very serious filled with spooky areas and plots, deaths, betrayal, and very sadistic villains who enjoy gutting people alive. The gay jokes are the least threatening thing for kids in these games. They will find out about it soon enough, but wouldn't you rather them find out in a lighthearted manner, than in a violent or awkward situation? Don't take this as any form as bashing as I respect your opinion, but this really doesn't seem to be an issue.

Exclamation Maybe you know dumb 10 year olds

Perhaps you know dumb 10 year olds. The ones I know (even 8 year olds) would not be in the dark about this type of humor. Sorry to sound mean, but I'm getting a little defensive here. Seriously can you think that kids will not get these references? C'mon be serious.
