The Voodoo Lady as the Villain?!
Okay, her laughter in the intro of "Siege of Spinner Cay"
was quite disturbing. I don't know what to make of that...
And sometimes, the advice she gave Guybrush didn't seem like the best thing to do. But I think some of your arguments are a little far-fetched.

I think the only reason why she's worried about that is because it's impossible for her to "track down" LeChuck without any voodoo on him.
