Am I the only one who wishes they could have the pyrite's "Kraa! Guybush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate!" as a text message notification?

Murray's "Foolish mortal!", "Muwahahaha!".
Guybrush's "Look behind you! A three headed monkey!", "Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate".

The options are endless.

I already have the theme as my ringtone, I just wish I had a cool message sound.

Anyone knows how/where I could get those?

I actually HAVE the pyrite parrot as my text message notification. I took it from some YouTube clip. Recorded it and put on my phone. Got annoying after a few days, so I can understand Guybrush's hatred for it now.

But yeah if you want those, just record them from a YouTube clip like I did. Or from the game! Go into control panel, sound, go to recording devices, and click Stereo Mix as your recording device. If you cant see it in the list, it might be disabled, so just right click and click 'Show disabled devices' then enable it.

This makes it so when you hit record in Windows Sound Recorder it records what is processed through your speakers. Recording what you would hear essentially.

Since i suck with directions, you might just want to google 'record stereo mix', haha. Once you get your .wav file or mp3, just put it on your phone and set it as your notification. Or you might need to convert it first. My phone (e71) just had to drop it on my phone and it worked.

I've got the Theme as my ringtone.

It's quite easy to extract them..
Download this and then just find the right files..

I gotta agree there. My txt sound is the Round Over fanfare from FF games (alá Advent Children's phone) but that gets a little dull. The Pyrite Parrot would be pretty cool, and I dont get that many texts for it to be get old fast.

Just got the Pyrite Parrot (cheers to Z32's instructions). Just going to try and get another now. (I always liked how profesional Guybrush sounded when he was about to sieze the Screaming Narwhal).

Well, here's 11 I whipped up real quick. Theyre not the best qualiy: I had no idea that sound recorder clips off a tiny bit at the end, and with both sfx and music turned down I didnt get as many que's as to when some dialogues will start, but hope people like them. Now don't go saying I dont do things for you guys.

Pyrite Parrot: *Squawk* It me, Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate!

Guybrush: You have to admire her stick-to-itivness.

Guybrush: Heave to and strike your colors! I've come to sieze your ship!

Guybrush: You've lost your weapon privilages.

Morgan: No way! Guybrush: Impressive, no?

Guybrush: Holeeee buckets!

Guybrush: You know, you can't just go through life cutting throats and de-handitating people. Morgan: Oh yeah? Guybrush: Y-yeah...? Morgan: Watch me!

These next few are a bit longer, so I dunno if theyd be better suited for out going call tones or what.

Guybrush: Nice ship! We're you drunk when you built it? Van Winslow: Ha ha ha! Good one, boy-o! But I didn't build the Screaming Narwhal. It was assembled by a commitee of concerned Flotsom citizens! Guybrush: Were they drunk?

Murray: Woe upon thee foolish mortal, you have unleashed certain doom upon all your feeble fleshy kind! For the wrath of Murray shall be.... very funny.

Guybrush: YOU, YOU YELLY BELLIED DESERTER! I'VE CRUSHED THE SOULS OF MEN 10 TIMES AS TOUGH AS YOU, AND FORGOTTEN THEM BY LUNCH! YOU'LL DO AS I SAY, OR RUE THE NAME THREEPWOOD FOR THE REST OF YOUR VERY SHORT LIFE!

Murray: Well my legions of undead marines had brought an armada of Spanish Clippers to their knees, when a mighty tempest tossed our ship! Guybrush: I don't remember hearing about any battle with the Spanish armada. Murray: Hah! As if we'd have left a soul to tell the tale!

If your phone is like mine, you can asign different ring tones for different people, so have fun!

Cheers mate, though Im still enjoying the pox-ridden Threepwood show Bugeye who'se the better pirate, haha. (Only sorry theres so much dead air at the start of some of these clips.)

Tried some of them out: WMP might cut off the ends bu tmy phone plays the pretty nicely. Now I just need to get more calls and messages than the tiny dribble I get.

Cheers, but youd have to give me a fair bit more time. I did those on the weekend, but weekdays can get a bit crowded in my schedual. Leave it with me and I'll see what I can come up with.

I was tempted to make one of De Cava and his Mutineers.

The other one I tried hard to get was Murray in the credits (which I cant pause unfortunately) getting him to say without the name of the person he's addressing, "Are you really a lumberjack or do you just like flannel?"
