I think that's it. As we're getting into the story, cliffhangers and story hooks like the Elaine/LeChuck situation work to push your interest, but it's in a very "artificial" way. But since we weren't that far in, it was acceptable and worked. Now that we're in, I feel like I organically care about what's going to happen from the situation, and not because they threw a "WELL, GUYBRUSH SURE HAS FOUND HIMSELF IN A PICKLE NOW, HASN'T HE? WILL GUYBRUSH ESCAPE THE MASKED ASSAILANT? WHO ARE THEY? AND WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH ELAINE AND LECHUCK? FIND OUT, ON THE NEXT THRILLING EPISODE OF
TALES OF MONKEY ISLAND: "JUSTICE FOR ALL", OR, "THE TRIAL AND
EXECUTION OF GUYBRUSH THREEPWOOD"!
