Default CSI: Hard Evidence - stuck on first case (PC)

I just installed CSI Hard Evidence for the PC, and I seem to be stuck on the first case.

I have done everything I could (including getting a hint) at the mobile lab, and I think that the main lab should be available as a location, but it is not. There is a checkmark on the crimescene.

Can anyone help me out?

the checkmark on the crimescene means you have all the evidence...

you need to process the evidence at the moble lab (everything but the red plastic and the skin from the blue jeans fragment should have a check mark on it

to open the csi labs, i believe you need to get a match on the fingerprint from the turpentine can....

matching partials is a new gameplay feature this year, and there is a good segment on how to match partial prints to full prints in the tutorial.... (which i am betting you skipped over )

you need to process the red plastic flake from the footprint by the cab at the csi lab.... you will get a lead on your suspect, and to get a warrant to pick up ed... you need to have matched his prints on the turpentine can... which if i recall... is one of the things you need to do in order to open the csi labs and the morgue

I am having a hard time getting to the golf course. I've done everything i am supposed to and no one will give me any hints on there anymore. I went to Brass and all he keeps saying is "once you've collected more evidence i'll hit up a judge". But I can't do anything else! Help!!
