Default There's a 3 year gap between MI2 and CMI?

Elaine says during the trial that she didn't hear from Guybrush for 3 years after he fell into the hole on Dinky Island in MI2. I thought each game was only a single year apart as indicated by Guybrush's age. Not really important, I just thought it was strange.

Edit: Farlander pointed out that in the same episode Stan mentions that Guybrush freed him from the coffin he was put in, in MI2 after only 3 months. Thus Elaines claim that she didn't see Guybrush for 3 years after the events of MI2 is not an error but is probably just Elaine exaggerating.

IIRC, Stan said he was locked in a coffin for three months. I suppose Elaine just exaggerated, I mean, she WAS under the Pox influence and stuff.

More plot holes, lets just let Sleeping dogs lie. I don't need anyone trying to fill plotholes with low grade gunk

Maybe they're all lying, and it's really just a TV thing where they turn up for a couple of weeks every year to make another thing.
In real-MI-world, Guybrush is married to Wally (who is actually a woman) and Elaine is married to Winslow. Except Winslow is cheating on Elaine with the Voodoo Lady, while Wally and Elaine are having a lesbian affair. Guybrush is also a crack addict.

I'm going for one of the following explanations:

1) Inconsistency
2) Mistake
3) Elaine got confused between the gap between MI1 and MI2 on the one hand, and the gap between MI2 and MI3 on the other; and that Stan got out of the coffin after three months, went off and printed his insurance business laminated business cards and then got back in the coffin again in an unsuccessful attempt to scam Guybrush
4) It's not really real

Or Alexandra Boyd mis-read her lines? Three Months and Three Years are close and when you're in a heated fake rant it could be easy to mis-place a word. Three Months fits a lot better with Guybrush's age compared to three years.

Considering the Guybrush P. Threepwood accident, I wouldn't rule that out.

I still think Farlander is correct, the character Elaine was just exaggerating 3 months to 3 years because she was angry/poxed. I don't think this was a mistake at all.

Honestly, I think there is someone in Telltale right now going "whoops!"

I still think that it's more likely that Stan was able to survive in a coffin for three months than three years, plus Elaine was more likely to exaggerate under the influence of the pox.
