Precisely. What's worse: My birthday is on the 30th. Sounds weird, but it would turn out to be a sad day if I got to finish chapter 5 on that very day.

Am I the only one that actually wants to see the series end with a proper ending with the next game? I mean, Guybrush has to write his memoir eventually, right?

edit: (and I think there should be a bit of a irl time gap between tales and that game...)

He already wrote one book. And so did Elaine it seems. Guybrush's book was called The Memoirs of Guybrush Threepwood: The Monkey Island Years. Since they he's only kept a diary.

Both of these books can supposedly be found in Phatt Island Library - coincidently they're not available at the moment I think.

Tales of Monkey Island really is a great game and I really don't want it to end. On the other hand, every story must end before it gets too watered down. Still, I think Tales is the best Telltale game to date. Sure, soon after the final chapter is out, we'd probably get Sam and Max Season 3, and though I love Sam and Max, those guys are a bit too "light" and their games get too silly at times... I just hope the great things we saw in Tales, would be in future Telltale games as well.

Snap.

Plus, it's a Monday. Who wants to go back to work after the weekend AND lament the end of TMI on the same day?!

I would go out for drinkies, come home well inebriated, start playing my cool new video game, fall asleep unintentionally at some point, and wake up the next morning with zero recollection of progress in the game the night before. Then I get to replay from the beginning and experience the massive excitement and thrill of discovery all over again.

Yes I have done this more than once

I start drinking right as the game begins, and see which gives out first: my attention span or the bottle of Zinfandel...

Yes they are. Drinkin' isn't cool (it fits MMO players, not us). Playing Monkey Island is cool : )

I want it to be the best ep ever, so if they took their time I would be happy.

I want it to end, and I want it to end in a satisfying way. I'm not a person for extending shows, film series, and games on forever. I'm more a fan of compact, satisfying, stand-alone experiences that have a satisfying and full narrative.

Also, I've had deadlines before that I've missed due to my own laziness. Video game programmers are no less prone to fatigue and inefficiency than the rest of us.
