Default cAn you play ttg games more than once?

Can you play the ttg games more than once? I find it difficult to play it again. i found out about ttg, when they were making monkey island and i got both sam n max seasons and wallace and gromit and monkey island. first off, i can't even play wallace and gromit because i find it un-interesting, although i do enjoy the movies. anyway, i played all the games mentioned (except wandg). however, i can't find myself playing them again. can you guys?

The questions is, not how many times you can play, but how many times are you willing to play it?

i would like to play, i FORCE myself to launch the game, but no result. It was fine the first time. maybe it's because i generally don't play games until after a long time after completion

Not often. The only three I've replayed have been Leviathan, Execution of Guybrush and Chariots of the Dogs. I love all the games, mind you, but these are the only ones I've gone over again. Though if Telltale keep improving, I'm sure I'll be re-playing any future games again, and again, and again.

I've replayed Reality 2.0 once, and that's about it.

I generally wait some time between replaying adventure games, no point in doing it if you can remember all puzzles...

I can play every Sam and Max game at least twice.

Currently, I've played episodes 1.01 - 2.02 three times.

But as for W&G, I just can't bring myself to replay the game.

I've replayed through Tales three times, once on my desktop then again on my laptop because it could run the game at max quality, then again to investigate all dialogue options. And I have no doubt that I'll play through it again, since I still play through Secret of Monkey Island and I could complete that backwards in my sleep.

The "Have you tried..." threads make it almost compulsory to replay them at least once... Unless you managed to do everything on your first try.

I don't replay games very often, but I think Telltale games are story-oriented enough that it's not such a problem even if you know everything you have to do.
No if you mean "replay and have forgotten everything, therefore play as though it was the first time" then no, no you can't, unless you have a very bad memory of course.

Yes I can. First to end it, second to look for stuff we miss. Third to pass the time. Then I get bored of it. Then I wait for a few days. Then replay it again just for fun.

I think adventure games are too story based, there are also many other games which are too story based also limiting the number of times you can play them. Sandbox games usually don't have this problem, they're just generally boring (excluding gta). Gta is interesting and I think that's why it's successful. It's replayable and interesting. Many games are fun the first time then you have to forget them to enjoy them again. It's the same with Splinter Cell and others.

I've rushed myself through W&G and ToMI so I could finish the episodes and come back to the forums without being spoiled.

This means that I /could/ play through them again and do a more leisurely explore, trying to get all the various dialogue options. I did do that with both seasons of Sam and Max, using the "Did you try?" lists to see if I could get everything on the lists.

Haven't really done it with SBCG4AP, W&G and ToMI yet, because a) I like doing it when I get the DVD, and b) I really haven't got the time at the moment.

One day I'll replay the games, once I've forgotten how to solve the puzzles

Just curious, do you only watch a movie or read a book once?

I've played through Baddest of the Bands, Dangeresque 3 and Eight Bit is Enough twice and I'll probably replay Strong Badia the Free in the future. I've only played through TOMI once, but I know that I'm going to be playing through all the episodes again once more time has passed (probably not until the DVD comes out.)

It depends on what kind of gamer you are. I'll replay the same game time and time again if I like it well enough (Curse of Monkey Island, Metal Gear Solid) and the same goes for Telltale Games.

Sad. you guys are all so very sad. Telltale Games is awesome. Why are you even asking how many times ppl will replay the games? Obviously the puzzles don't change, so you wouldn't replay the game for the puzzles (unless it's been ages since you played a game and have since forgotten.)

We replay adventure games because we like the characters, the story, the humor, or maybe to see how quickly or how thoroughly we can beat it.

I've played TMI twice through from beginning to end already, and I've also played Sam & Max Season 1 Episode 1 again after having completed Seasons 1 and 2 already. My wife hasn't seen me play S&M through, so I might at some point soon play the entire 2 seasons through again. (Actually, having typed that, I have a sudden urge to play them through again anyway.)

Also, aside from Telltale's games, I've played the VGA fan remakes of King's Quest 1 thru 3 and Maniac Mansion Deluxe, KQ5, KQ6, KQ7, Secret of MI, MI2, Curse of MI, Escape from MI, S&M:Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, and Full Throttle through each more than once. The King's Quest and Monkey Island game series', I've played several times.

Admittedly, I've played a couple of old-western themed adventure games (Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist, and Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine) and they both sucked imo.

But I'm sorry... if you didn't like Wallace and Gromit then maybe they're not your style of adventure game, and just because you don't find a reason to replay an adventure game again immediately after you beat it doesn't mean it's bad, and it doesn't mean TTG makes bad games either.

I am currently replaying Sam & Max Season 1. I've forgotten most of the jokes, so it's just as good the second time.

Sadly I haven't played ToMI or much of W+G and Strong Bad so I can't say much. As for Sam and Max, I can replay episodes usually once right after beating them the first time, usually to try things in different order and milk out more dialogue I may've missed the first round. After that, I usually don't go back until after a few months when I've forgotten some of the puzzles.
