I was hanging out at Katsucon.

Got to spend the day (weekend, actually) with friends so that was pretty awesome.

I played the AvP demo, and it made everything allright. Nothing like ripping out someones heart and giving it to someone else.

I know I'm late to this thread, but I generally agree with Avistew.

And I have no problem with the comercial aspect of it because there are so many MANY other options for the day. In fact, I've always gotten the best responses on VDay when I've done things that are entirely non-comercial. Generally speaking if I'm with someone I try to do something fun and unique with them (usually involving staying home (though the time I went to SILENCE! The Silence of the Lambs Musical was a particularly spectacular Vday)).

If I'm single I try to do something fun with my fellow single friends. Sit around and watch movies or play board games or something. Light-hearted entertaining stuff.

You know, all horror stories are really romances. (That being said, I still don't think I could fall in love with my kidnapper, even if he were Antonio Banderas.)

Yeah right! I bet you the moment he starts pronouncing your name with his spanish accent and say something romantic you would melt!
