Trial & Execution for me. They managed to have two dramatic on-screen deaths for two major characters - one of whom is Guybrush himself - and yet it still felt like a Monkey Island game. For me, that's really something.

Chapter 5 was definitely my favorite, but 4 was right up there too. I thought it concluded the season nicely and had a great overall mood. Also, the final puzzle was clever and neat. It made me smile when I figured it out. Finally a use for that ring!

Honestly 5 gave me nostalgia at the start, that hill, that dog, the guy in the boat, suddenly, weird as it sounds, I thought - hey what's this, I feel like i am playing Mi2/3 again? The next few steps were also good BUT then it faded and I was let down. I started to dream of CMI, when you arrive in that house with those rooms and tough puzzles. The thing missing for me which I had in LCR and CMI - so much space, exploration, so many options. You could go to one zone and work on something then go to totally another zone and see if you could work on something - it's how I felt when I first played WoW - a swear word here but I had the feeling I was travelling and had options, areas to work on.

Ep V in the end turned out like the rest, very linear and tiring. I just couldn't be bothered to go do all those bar repeat quests. Same for the court case in previous, that was really boring. I know it's episodic and limited on what can be delivered per episode and whilst I kinda enjoyed it, I am amazed no one is really taking TTG to claims on their puzzles and itemisation. It's shocking. Could be so much better. The whole cool thing in MI1, 2, 3 was the vast amount of items and how they might interact. Did we get that with TMI? Hell no.

I loved to see Monkey Island back and it was kinda fun but it was like being an original Star Wars fan and *accepting* the prequels - better than nothing but childhood firmly raped. Based on reception I think they will continue as they have done in this season with TMI2. An average of 8/10 means they don't have to change their take on the series. I will probably buy the next season but I hope it's better. Surely with the amount of sales there will be room for improvement. Yes new Sam N Max is kinda fun I guess but let's not rest on laurels. I tried Sam N Max TTG after loving original and it suffered some same symptoms for me as TMI - kinda fun but not nearly as good.

TTG you can do better. Hoping to see it. A fan? Yes but with reservations.

Trial and Execution is no doubt my favorite episode. It was the perfect mix of Monkey Island's signature humor and some seriously dramatic moments. Oh, and also we got to toss De Singe into a giant blender, and that's always a plus.

Hard to say. I liked 3 and 4 a lot.
5 was also awesome. 1 and 2 are a bit behind the last 3...

4 - 5 - 3 -1 - 2

To be honest I would have 4 and 5 share the 1st spot, they both have things in them that makes them good in each their way.
Chapter 5 was really good, but 4 takes the top spot because of the ending, I love an ending that can touch my emotions.

Lair was really well done plus the music was great.
Those merfolks in Spinner were really horrible.

3, 4, 5, 1, 2.

Lair was awesome due to the four M's: Morgan, Murray, Moose and Music (of the kick ass variety.) It was also the funniest episode hands down in my book, though they all had their moments!

I loved how dark episode 5 was, but I still have to say that episode 4 was overall the best in the series for me, and to be honest, the first that could stand against some of CMI, MI1 or MI2. The best part when it comes to puzzles and shocking (and not so shocking) revelations.

Episode 5. The cross roads was cool to play in and I enjoyed the story.

Lair of the Leviathan for me, after some thought. All the characters and puzzles were fun and the dynamic between Morgan and Guybrush was key in this episode. I also loved the intro to this episode more than the other episodes.

Lair of the Leviathan is a perfect balance and the atmosphere in the Cantina is great. To me it was the best part of the game.

Lair of the Leviathan is far and away the best.

It has the best puzzles, best script, it best captures the MI atmosphere, and it was very tight(as opposed to the bloated mess of spinner cay).

Oh, and it was the first time telltale injected some interest into the episode-specific characters - the generic models were far better hidden, and they had decent personalities.
