Post Telltale DL Via Steam Activation?

I've allready bought most of the telltale games via the Telltale website.
Today I just got Sam & Max 3 from telltale website and I added my TeamFortress2 code to steam and now I can download Sam & Max 301 via Steam.

Im a big fan of getting my games through steam generally, I was wondering if there was a way telltale could link the other games Ive already bought from the telltale website so I can add them to my steam download list?

This is a short-term deal, just for the hat promotion. People won't be getting Steam codes for Season Three after the hat promo, so this is a special case.

Still, I'd like to point out that this is really cool, and if Telltale did find out a way to do it on a more consistent basis, I would love them forever.

I think all they need to do is verify that weve actually paid for the games and then give us each product codes that work with steam

I'm sure the business side of that idea is far from being that simple.

Then likely pay Valve money to allow us to use their servers.

You can add any game shortcut to the Steam game menu. All you have to do is go to "Add non-Steam game" in the menu. And as long as the game is a 3D game you can access that cool Steam in-game menu thing where you can access the web, your friends list, and all that jazz. And it'll even show to your friends on Steam the game you're playing.

But this won't allow you to download TTG games from Steam as an alternative...

While I'd love it to happen as well, it's highly unlikely. This TF2 thing was an extraordinary circumstance. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could download the episode on Steam, but then I proceeded to play my Telltale-downloaded copy anyway 'cause it was already sitting there.

Besides, Telltale's DD service is one of the better ones available, and unlike most random indie developers out there, I have confidence that Telltale is gonna stick around and not leave me hanging. :3

This is fantastic news. I bought of Telltale's store cos I like supporting small(ish) companies and I kinda like the idea of the DVD (although with $26 for postage I might not bother), but now I can download the game unmetered off GameArena (steamwatch ftw!). 500MB might not sound like much, but that's a fair amount of downloads that I could use elsewhere.

It all comes down to money in the end, The price of the telltale games on steam are virtually the same, but I guess it all depends on how much steam get for hosting the telltale games, maybe steam could deal with the (PC/Mac) downloads exculsively and telltale could deal with the DVD orders. I dont think the telltale website Is gonna go bust anytime soon, but to have the backup on steam would be reassuring.
