The one I had looked deep fried. But yeah, it's basically a ham, turkey, and cheese sandwich/french toast hybrid, complete with powdered sugar and a delightful berry dipping sauce. I didn't think it would taste good at all...but my brother forced me to try a bit and it was absolutely delicious.

Also, the last part of my guilty pleasures list was that all of this was at Disneyland.

I remember eating my first Monte Cristo at Disneyland, eleven and a half years ago. My parents didn't want to sit down in the Blue Bayou, so we ordered it to go. We ended up looking up the recipe for it later, but I don't know if that was really necessary, since the only really tricky part could be the batter.

But yes, a Monte Cristo is a ham, turkey, and swiss sandwich, deep fried and served with some sort of berry sauce, often red currant jelly, and sometimes dusted with powdered sugar. It's one of the least healthiest things you'll ever eat, and it will be WORTH IT.

Wow. Compared to that, my patent-pending 'Ugh!' sandwich is positively tame.

(It's Cheese, Jam, Marmite and Tuna, FTR).

As long as we're talking about odd food, I myself fancy hot wings dipped in chocolate (thank you, party with both a chocolate fountain and wings). Caesar dressing is also a quite viable hotdog topping, and the only topping I personally use! The oddest thing I ever ate/drank? Hmmm.... I guess that would have to be the thing I ate/drank for the iron stomach contest at this one event I went to: Alka-Seltzer, dragonfruit Vitamin Water, Spam, and Habenaro hot sauce. I drank half the bottle of hot sauce on and off throughout the day before to prepare. And the funny thing was: It was daaaamn tasty!

This goes against everything that is good and natural. May God have mercy on your soul.

On the subject of wings, though, boy do I love 'em. I can hardly go someplace new that has wings on the menu without trying them, and trying the hottest variety they have. I tried some wings that had a sauce that was made with ghost peppers (world's hottest pepper) not too long ago. They were so hot. It was seriously a solid 45 minutes before my mouth even began to feel like it was cooling off.

And let me tell you, nothing helps wake you up in the morning the next day like the ghost pepper poops.

Indeed. The gumbo was fantastic, but I think next time I go, I'll have to get a Monte Cristo for dinner at least. I still remember that single morsel I had...and I WANT MORE.

For the record, I've never broken a leg, and even if I did, I would seek medical attention from one of your doctors, not one of those so-called "veterinarians."

If you even tried to get me near one of those places, I would kick anyone within a 10 foot radius in the face. With BOTH legs.

Also, what supmandude said.

I don't consider Friendship is Magic to be a guilty pleasure. I'm quite proud of it.

FLCL, now THAT is a guilty pleasure.
