Question No voice in Sam & Max Ep1?

Hi

I just bough Sam & Max Ep1 and downloaded the setup an installed.

But there aren't any voices on the characters? I've read that the voice is genious in reviews?

I've checked the options and the voice/music/effect tab is set to max.

I can hear music and effects, but there aren't any voices!

Argh, please help!

Edit: I've just tested the game on a PIII 500 Mhz and the voice works there. I've just bought a new C2D 2,4Ghz pc with a Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard. I'm going to update the drivers, but that shouldn't be nesseary since the music/soundeffects works.

Hi Large,

We've had a couple of reports of the music not playing, but this is the first I've heard of voices not working. Please let us know if the new drivers fix the problem or not.

Hi

The new drivers worked! My mainboard is Asus P5W DH Deluxe with a dual2core processor. Now the drivers listed on Asus homepage is really old, so I've sendt them a complain about that.

To others having the Asus P5W DH Deluxe mainboard, do these steps
1. Goto http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
2. Select the High Definision Audio Codec Software
3. Audiochip is named ALC880 and the driver is version R1.47
4. Download and save it to a folder
5. Uninstall the old driver and reboot
6. Install the new, and reboot

Keep up the good work, Sam'n'Max is a great game!

Cheers
