LIES! - A Question About Missing Tarot Cards

Hey, everyone!

I have a question for Telltale. I hear that "The Scientist" and "The Sixth Sense" cards are missing from the Voodoo Card Set. According to the product page in the store (http://www.telltalegames.com/store/tomi-voodoo), the set includes "all the cards seen in the game, plus new ones." It even includes a picture of "The Scientist" as one of the sample images.

So, what gives? The Scientist and Sixth Sense cards were definitely in the game, so according to the product page, they should be in the set!

Can we get an official word on what happened, and can we please get these two cards somehow?

I figure the 6th sense would be harder to pull of since the hand on the card is supposed to be your own, so I never really expected it to make it in.
Can't tell you for the scientist.

I sent TTG an e-mail... Hopefully, they'll consider sending the missing cards to anyone who owns the set.

Er... they'd have to make them first. That would probably cost them a LOT. Don't hold your breath.

Nope. It is fairly certain that the deluxe version is coming with "The Fool."

lol, reminds me of Persona. I love those games.

I'm guessing that someone at Telltale made a mistake, and no-one checked it against the game. I doubt they'd send anymore cards though, it doesn't make sense financially. That being said, it shouldn't have happened in the first place, it even shows The Scientist on the site.

They're still pretty damn cool though.

Doesn't make sense financially or not... the consumer should get what they paid for.. I am a big supporter of TTG but I think this is kind of uncool if they do not address this...

the two cards should be sent out to the people who bought the set thinking they were going to get what was advertised.. and the 6th sense card could just be a regular card... with just a flat picture.

here is some screen caps from the store in case they change the wording later. I mean comeon they even have the scientist card pictured as coming with the set....

Notice that there is NOT a card count in the description it only says that you get ALL of the cards shown in the game... by that description the card that comes with the deluxe edition should be all new.

We're looking into this. The store description is getting changed, at least for the short term.

It may have been an oversight during the production process for the cards.

When we first announced the Voodoo Card Set, we had planned to include all cards from the game. Between the time that we announced the cards and when they were printed, we made a few changes, including the addition of four completely new cards created by Ryan Jones specifically for this set – The Devil, The Guide, Strength, and The Tower (these are bonuses, beyond the cards in the game). The card set description on the site is being updated to accurately describe the shipping product. The Sixth Sense hadn’t been intended for the final set (some categorize it as an “effect” more than a separate card … granted, this is somewhat debatable).

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

So will there ever be a "The Scientist" card?

The Scientist card is pictured as part of the set.... in the samples... So pretty much what we are getting is an official "too bad" that is kinda lame. It was pictured we should get it...

This isn't one of those instances where we didn't read the fine print... it was clearly pictured as part of the set.

as of this post it still is pictured... its not like we paid a $1 for the set it was $20...

It will come as a prize in specially marked boxes of Guybrush's Mighty Pirate™ brand cereal. Other prizes include: treasure crab wind-up toy, giant manatee squirt toy, and a key.

You're basically getting a new card instead of that old one, guys. I totally understand being disappointed, especially if this one was your favourite, but then they ended up going an extra mile and adding a new card instead... I don't think they should send that card to everyone, personally. I mean it would cost them a lot and it's an extra card. Maybe if you returned one of the new cards in return?

I just don't think mailing a single card would be very cost-effective for them, even if they did manage to get them printed. I think at best, if they get it printed they should have it for free to people who bought the voodoo cards, but you'd still pay for shipping - like with the DVDs. Or you could order it but only grouped with something else. But I don't think they're going to print that one card, it just seems too unlikely to me.

I personally would care more about the lack of the dagger in the betrayal card. Why did it disappear? That's a bit weird.

So, any chance at all of getting The Scientist card printed and mailed to purchasers?
