I'm completely stuck as to how I deal with the part where the endless stream of sam clones and the statue of liberty. I've tried every piece of music, but cannot get max to begin to climb it. Does anyone have any help, or at least a good place to start?

Perhaps you should look at it from a different perspective. What happens when Max gets in the real Sam's way?
Sam whacks him in the air with his powerful backhand.
Have you tried seeing what happens when Max tries to cross the line of Samulacra?
Also notice that the Samulacra dance through different doors, depending on what music is playing.
Max will be thrown upwards in a slightly different direction, depending on where he crosses the line.
Perhaps one of those lines will let Max land on something?
I don't want to go any farther with these hints. You SHOULD be able to figure the rest of the puzzle out from there.

I think I've encountered one of the game breaking bugs in a previous thread. Since when I go into max mode, I'm unable to use any of the controls and unable to click the mouse on anything. So I suspect that I'll either have to restart from the beginning. Or just close out this season early. This season has had some really bad game breaking glitches and I've encountered a few. So I'll probably just wait for a youtube walkthrough.

In Max mode at statue of liberty all you can click on is the statue to view certain bits, right click will take you out of this view.

All Max has to do (to begin with) is walk into the dancing Sam's

I don't understand, I walk into the line of Sams and I just fly into the air and fall back down.

Changing song moves where the sam's go.
If you send the Sam's to the right hand door (using the face song) that stream makes Max land on the tablet...
The tablet song turns the tablet into a ribcage whihc Max says looks like a ladder...

Not fully true.
First you have to talk to Charlie in Sam mode about Junior. While he is distracted shooting at Norrington you can change the music on the piano.

After the first successful music change Norrington tells you to gester at the piano if you want to change it again; then is when you jsut clikc the piano.

Switch to Sam.
Talk to Charlie about Junior, change the music to the one about tablets (I forget exact title something about 2 tablets for 1). This turns the statues tablet into a ladder like ribcage.
Click the piano to change music again and put on the one about a face (darkest face or sumat like tht) this makes the Sam clones go in the right side, near the tablet. Walk Max into tht line of clones so he gets hit up in the air and lands on the ribcage.
Change the music to crown of flames to reproduce the tentacles. In max mode over the statues shoudler hit the "swing on tentacle" option
