Default Panel @ PAX

Who's here?

If they say anything Monkey Island related, I'll post here.

...

Panel stuff:

1. No MI stuff announced...yet.

2. Lucasarts licences NOT in trouble. They made this very clear when asked.

3. Hope somebody puts the video of the panel on youtube.

4. Winslow beats Morgan in popularity it seems.

Although not MI related, Duke Nukem Forever will supposedly be released in 2011 according to people who went to PAX.

We actually need a thread about PAX Panel, focusing on every announcement TTG makes.

plural... PLURAL! How many licenses are we talking about here. Why is it "LucasArts licenses" instead of "Monkey Island license"?

Dunno. I could have heard them wrong.

But yeah, they are in communication with LA and apparently things are good.

Thanks for the info, Polychrome!

Would you mind telling us a little bit about some of the non-Monkey Island-related stuff they showed or discussed at the panel? I realize you might be primarily a Monkey Island fan, but some of us are interested in everything Telltale had to say about everything. Did they reveal any more information about Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, or Poker Night at the Inventory?

The only real info about upcoming stuff (other than Poker Night exists, what the setting looks like, how it's incredibly goofy, and what characters are in it) is that Christopher Lloyd is doing voice acting for the Back to the Future video game, and they got permission to use Michael J. Fox's facial appearance. (Whether or not he'll do his own voice acting is yet to be known...)

It wasn't really an "announcement" panel, and most information came from questions during/after the panel. What basically happened is they took a bunch of characters from assorted games, basically shouted out scene ideas to the audience, which voted (by clapping and screaming) which characters to do assorted evil things to. Then a crazy script was formed out of our random shouting and they made a cutscene using Telltale's game engine.

So basically, it was a "goofing off" panel. (Don't take that the wrong way. It was tons of fun. )

Other than that, there was a bunch of Sam and Max voice-acting outtakes that they'd animated for fun.
