Beginning of 301 sort of makes sense now (spoilers)

So, you all remember that part right at the beginning of 301 where you shoot Skun'ka'pe with a Bazooka to knock him in the Penal Zone? Well, I was thinking of one specific part. As in, the narrator sets the scene and says "Let's start by finding the proper tool" and the camera zooms in on Sam's Gun.

However, this is later proven to be a useless tactic and Gordon has to step in and help them find another way with the psychic powers.

When I thought about it I figured maybe the Narrator was trying to trick S&M in order to get them killed. I was thinking about posting this on the forums before 305 was released, but I never got round to it.

But when 305 was released, we learned that The Narrator was part of Max's mind.

So does the Beginning mean that The Narrator uses Max's thinking and therefore, like Max, would probably have just gone and shot everything?

What do you guys think?

So...that means that it wasn't a tutorial level at all, but Max trying to figure out the best thing to do in that situation? Makes sense...I guess. Huh.

Also after the tutorial, when you end up being trapped on skunkape's ship like in the future vision, why was the gun not on the floor, it makes no sense, cause skunkape has seen the future and the gun doesn't hurt him, so why did he lock it away? That was one thing that proved that the future will be changed.
