We all know that the speakeasy was burned down, as was Doc's Mansion. There's a legitimate question here, in that with Doc being present at both places at the time of burnination, is he connected to these tragedies or is it all just one big coincidence? With Doc being, well, Emmett Brown, I've got a hunch that his mansion being set aflame was due to some shoddy, 17th-century electrical wiring, and that this episode's fired-up (that's, like, the third time I didn't say something as simple as "arson" or "set on fire") speakeasy may just be a coincidence. I doubt we'll see the Brown Mansion burn, being it in 1962, but that may not stop it from being mentioned in dialogue.

Pretty sure Bob Gale has stated he never thought up how the Brown mansion burned down and that it was left as a 'mystery'.

Well if you watch the deleted scene from BTTF1, in 1955 when Doc is setting up the cables he bribes the police officer, and the conversation mentions that Doc's experiments are known to start fires.

I was going to say he did a ton of weird experiments with electricity. It would be a small wonder if he didn't burn it down!

He burned the mansion down so he could use the insurance money to finance the delorean.

Well, he still had his mansion in BTTF1's 1955 if I remember correctly.
He basically emptied his fire extinguisher on the fire caused by the DeLorean simulation (with the town model). The electricity hit the toy car, which went on fire which put some paint or whatever with sheets on fire.

So I thought that he might have forgotten to refill it, thus not being able to extinguish the fire which burned down the mansion.

Didn't Doc say his rockets always exploded? I think you've got your answer right there.

Of course, that's assuming he wasn't disowned by his father and thrown out of the house shortly after their argument.

Towards the end of the episode one. After they escape and the rocket explodes, Doc says (I'm paraphrasing, I don't have the exact dialogue) "I couldn't get them to keep from exploding".

Cosindering how he spend like 30 years and his entire family fortune on making the time machine, i kinda agree on the option he burned it down on purpose to get more money to finish the project.

I heard about that, but there's a definite possibility this mystery could be solved, especially considering that Telltale is on the case.
