Well tomorrow start protagonist design. Will continue inking backgrounds and also start inking supporting cast. I suppose I can discuss the plot of the game in a bit more detail come tomorrow as well.

I'd be more worried if the concept sketches were going in game. They're more ideas for the future. Outside of a few more backgrounds I haven't drawn yet, the game will take place in the background sketches you've seen. Once everything is inked it will get painted which is why I'm working on PSP skills right now, though slowly.

You could easily be part of the big 3-4 adventure games out there. This project is looking really good. I hope you have more will power and time than the others have had in the past.

Well fortunately once the characters are done that only leaves the backgrounds (visually speaking) and then run those through game studio.

So the presentation is about 40% done. Unfortunately, the backgrounds are more complicated than the characters, so I'm having a harder time mastering those and blending colors than with the characters.

Are you recoloring every time? I don't think that's how you're supposed to do sprites. i thin you're supposed to make like the character, color in his body, not his arms and then later draw and color different arms and legs and heads that attach to the body...it goes faster, it's how sprites were done.

Redrawing every time would take a long time. Have you ever looked at sprites in ScumVM before, or LucasRipper, rather?

No, I've never heard of those before. Though at least for some of these sub characters there's not much they need moving beside their faces and mouths for the most part.

For talking, it's typically done the same way, just with a body and a head that opens and closes its mouth.
