If Sam and Max have surnames, or even middle names, what do you guess they are?

My guesses are Sam Andmachs and Max DeStruckshin.

Sam Mcgruff! He hates being called mcgruff which is why it's a good surname

I don't believe they have any, which is part of their bizarre Purcell charm. But if I had to give them surnames it would be Sam Spayed and Max Pain.

Maybe Sam and Max are their Surnames rather than first names.
They could be called Sultry Sam and Mad Max(sorry it's the best I could think of).
