So we don't have distracting rehashings of the difference between sex and gender. The poll would have caused less distraction if it asked if you had dangly parts or not.

But, seriously, I agree with Tope: I find more interesting to know which gender a fellow forumer identify with, than to have his/her anatomical details, this should be about his/her personality.

So, I wonder, what would a proper way to express the poll?

Just "male-identifying, female-indentifying"? Or "male-identifying, female-indentifying, other"? Or are there "canonical" "other" that should be listed too?

Should his/her orientation be a part of it or it would be too "date site" flavored? E.g "male-identifying+male-attracted, female-indentifying+male-attracted, male-identifying+female-attracted, female-indentifying+female-attracted, male-identifying+both-attracted, female-indentifying+both-attracted"?

I honestly think male, female, and other is sufficient enough for simplicity sake, then if the person wanted to go into more detail they could post about it.
