Default Billing address needed for $0.00?

I just tried do "purchase" BttF Ep. 1, which is for free at the moment.
The checkout process demands a billing address for the total amount of $0.00.
Is this really necessary? Seems kind of stupid to me ...

But thanks for the free offer anyway!

While Telltale employees often help people in the support forum, the support forum is mostly for users to help other users.
The best way to get an answer from Telltale is to e-mail their customer service at support@telltalegames.com.
To answer your query, as far as I know, while there is no reason for you to enter a billing address since your "purchase" is free, there is no way to avoid it.

But no, shopping and activation problems are not supposed to be solved by users.
I think I won't be buying this, thus not needing a "customer support".
Inspite of being an owner of S&M 1-3, ToMI, PA (all via steam) I'll be passing on BttF.

The reason why you have to enter a billing address is probably because it's a requirement of the database. Of course I don't know that for certain, I'm just guessing.
