Default The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle

Youtube promo video

Direct link to the HumbleBundle website.

NOTE - I have not bought this bundle myself, everything in this post is based on information on their website.
I'm personally not interested in these games so I can't test this out myself, but I think it seems like a really nice idea and I especially like how you can choose to give everything you pay to charities they have listed.

Found this posted in another forum I often visit, and thought it might be cool enough to create a thread about here.

Basically it's a bundle of five indie games -

Trine
Shadowgrounds
Shadowgrounds: Survivor
Splot
Jack Claw

However, take note that only the three first games listed there are full, polished games.
Jack Claw is a prototype of a game that ended up being cancelled and as such is NOT a finished game, and Splot is still under development and will be added to your bundle once completed.

Even so, I think paying whatever you'd like is a pretty good deal

Another cool aspect of this deal is that after you've decided how much you want to pay, you can give all of it to either of, or split the sum up between the following - Frozenbyte (developer), Humble Tip (pays for the bandwidth and development of this promotion).... and the two remaining options which consist of two charity organizations, EFF and Child's Play.
You can choose to give the entire sum to the charities, if you wish.

I'm 3 for 3 on these Humble Bundles so far... and I've barely even had a chance to play any of the games. But it's cheap games and it's charity. It's like Scnew-kryptonite.

Yeah, this seems like a really cool 'model' to me, particularly because of how you can choose to give your entire amount, whatever amount you end up choosing, to charity.

I got it just for Trine. I might play the other games, I might not. I originally played Trine when I was a Gametap subscriber, and I'm glad to add it to my permanent collection. (Plus I get to earn the Steam achievements now.)

I already have Trine, but I though what the heck, I'll get it.

Only gave 3 dollars to it though. Would have given 5, but I am incredibly strapped for cash at the moment.

Still, every little helps right?

I only got it because I want to make my Humble Bundle collection a complete collection.

I gave $5 and feel unbelievably cheap... Unfortunately, it's all I could afford. :P

I had the same thought... still, the pay-as-you-like structure combined with the fact that I can send all of my payment to the charity dilutes that concern substantially. I just like it better when it's a showcase of a sort of coalition of different indie devs.

Meh, to me, a Humble Indie Bundle is a Humble Indie Bundle.

Word. If I can pay whatever I want, and give as much as I want to charity, it's worthwhile to me.

I gave $5.13, just to beat the average.

Seems this time most people were pretty cheap ;-) I don't really know why, Trine alone would be worth 10+ bucks.
I alrady owned Trine, and the other games don't seem so interesting but still I bought it just to support a good cause. As I did with the last two bundles already.
