Default PSN Hack.

The PSN hackers stole everyone's Email, Adress, D.O.B, Passwords, PSN Shoping history and may have stolen credit card info. No one seems to know if hackers have that yet though.

It is a little ridiculous.. I'm thinking from now on PSN will not be getting my card number anymore... It will be strictly PSNetwork cards from here on out... Luckily I created an email just for PSN.. and I didn't keep my card number stored on my profile.. but if they are able to see the numbers from previous transactions they have it.... No activity on my end from this .... I do miss watching netflix on there though.

I personally delete all CC info as soon as i've used it, so hopefully if they DID access any CC info they didn't access the main servers transaction records... i'd be safe then... I AM a little worried though, hopefully the fact that they waited a week to tell us anything means that it's not a huge leak and that only a few profiles got info leaked =(

I worried about it too. I used my card to buy most of the stuff off the PSN

And its not like we can go in and change everything right now. I wanted to go in and remove my card information but you can't because you have to be signed in to do that.

Problem with that is that they keep your CC info when you purchase stuff. Unless that info from their previous server is being cleaned out they'll still have it in their servers.

Also you can watch Netflix on your PS3 still. Just try to login 3-4 times and Netflix will load after the 4th "Server is down for maintence".

actually, some people are NOT able to connect to netflix anymore (I'm one of them), I was able to connect the first 2-3 days without a problem, but now It keeps asking me to load the PSN when I actually start a program, then when i hit ok, and then hit cancel once it fails it gives me a message saying that netflix failed to load the video because I'm required to be connected to the PSN...

I used to be the same until kotaku was hacked. Then I upgraded my password on all payment sites to a more complex one, with variations on a root password. Trouble is, I can't remember whether my PSN account uses the root password or my old one (I didn't update it, but I was using that password on a few sites already).

Is this going to be the end of Sony? I don't think this is overacting cos its worldwide outrage if card details have been stolen it could lead to possble lawsuits and extreme mistrust in Sony. Could all these be nails in its coffin.
