Am I the only Lost fan on this forum? I'm just wondering, does anyone else like Lost?

Also me! There are many Lost fans in Telltale. For instance, I read Chuck Jordan's episode writeups on his blog each week during the season.

If by "Lost", you mean "Heroes", then yes.

I've got nothing against Lost, but I had the show's big reveal spoiled for me before I even attempted to start the first season, thanks to internet tomfoolery

And that's why I watch serial dramas in the first place, for the intricate storylines and twists.

I'd say Lost is my favorite show still on air. Maybe that's because I don't watch a lot of TV.

The show's "big reveal"? You might be the only person in the world other than the writers who knows what that is, because at least for me, I've been watching for the last four seasons and I don't think I know what the big reveal is. (I know a lot more than I did when I first watched the first episode, of course, but for what it's worth, I don't think that any one particular big answer that spoils the entire show is known by anyone but the writers right now.)

Spoiler(?) - I had heard that the island was actually Purgatory, and that everybody was already dead.

Nope. Just a fan theory that refuses to die and, even several years later, is still passed off as true waaaay too often. ^^;

That's one of the major theories surrounding the mystery of the island, especially hinted at in the end of the video game, Lost: Via Domus (much too short) but that still hasn't been proven in the series, and I personally believe there's more to it than that. Halfway through the 4th season you start to question that theory anyway. If that's all you know, then I recommend watching the series anyway.

On a side note, the story is so secretive that the actors don't even see the script for any episode until damn near filming time (the cast, including the actress who played Tillie didn't even know she was getting killed off until they started filming that day), so any true spoilers you encounter would likely only be for the episodes that have already aired.

The theory you guys are talking about is probably something everyone watching the show has thought about at one point or the other, but how the show has progressed, it seems less and less likely to be the case. During the first two seasons, that theory seemed much more possible than it does now.

I'm loving me some Lost. Heroes went down the drain as it became so random. Shows such as Heroes are hurt by the fact that there is no ending written for the series. They'll keep making the seasons for as long as they have viewers. Lost, on the other hand, has the end in sights, so we know that by the end of 2010, it'll be over. This makes me keep watching. If I knew that the writers would stretch it out indefinitely, I doubt I'd remain interested.

Same. The announcement of an end date and the exact number of remaining episodes resulted in my being way more invested in the series than I was before... Also the fact that the show has been good.

I have a pretty deep love-hate relationship with Lost (and Heroes too for that matter).
I might keep on watching, but 2010 seems abit far away. I rather it ended this season.

Chuck talks about it in the commentary track on the DVD! Chuck and Jared Emerson Johnson are both big Lost fans, and they really went for it with that one-off line. You can hear the music switch to a track that is reminiscent of the music that plays whenever something mysterious happens towards the end of an episode in the earlier season, during that one cutscene.

This might be a spoiler for people who haven't seen up to Season 4 but I'm sure this thread is about the anticipation of Season 5.

This has got to be one of sexiest promo shot for a TV show.

Edit: Also Juliet is way hotter than Kate.
