I just realised no one will be watching steam support on a Sunday.
Lovely.

If you like Bioshock, you don't mind replaying it once or twice. I wouldn't expect you to get that though, since you didn't enjoy it the first time. Not judging, just sayin'.

Painkiller, on the other hand, is something you come back to over and over because it's always fun to pin enemies to walls with wooden stakes, set them on fire or dismember them with a weed-whacker (aka: the titular Painkiller). So long as you don't run through it all in one go, it'll last you quite a while.

The experience is entirely narrative. I tried playing it again to get to the other ending, but the content wasn't differentiated enough, as a good 95% of the content gets absolutely no change from the opposite moral allignment. I can't just watch the same movie twice in short succession, especially a particularly bad one, and that's what someone would have to do to play Bioshock again.

As for Painkiller, yeah that can be picked up again pretty easily, but I wouldn't say it gives as much playtime as(for example) a real RPG like the on sale Vampire: The Masquerade game or something with a bit more variety to it like The Binding of Isaac(which is getting a huge Halloween update on the 31st).

I dont even know. It said Bioshock when I purchased and Bioshock 2 is in my steam library with no hint of its prequal. The support ticket is sent and I have painkiller while I wait.

Confirmed the latter part. I haven't done anything to my account since leaving London, but prices in the store are now displayed in US dollars.

Today's Daily Deal (remember those? Ah, how quaint they seem now) is Depths of Peril, an RPG with strong strategy elements. £2.75 / $3.75

I *love* it. It has all the great things about JRPGs, tons of great comedy, and a lot of awesome tweaks to the formula to streamline the gameplay without making it stupid.

Good enough for me.
EDIT:I just want to say that steam did fix my issue and Bioshock 2 has been removed with a refund of the game in my wallet. I then proceeded to carefully buy Bioshock 1. And it worked.

I have also noticed in the reply that I was given, that they are not doing this again should a similar problem arise in the future so I guess I lucked out.

Well, damn, now I want to pick up LIMBO, but I think I've spent too much on games this month already.

I'd wait on it. The game itself is pretty short, for one. Also, 25% isn't all that impressive in Steam sale terms, and we have a big one coming up right around the proverbial corner.

That's about what I figured. Besides, at the rate things are going, I'll probably end up with it out of some indie bundle or another.

And after all, it's not like I have any shortage of games to keep myself occupied.

Great decision. I only started it after playing through Breath Of Death VII (which TB also played on his marathon) but I needed a break from this sort of game. But even only BoD was worth the money for the double pack.
also I'm surprised they acted so fast. And on a sunday. All I hear in their forum is the opposite tbh..

Daily Deal - Hegemony: Philip of Macedon £4.79/$6.80 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/90100/

Real time strategy based on the conquest of ancient greece, or something. I've never heard of it before personally.

It's £4.76, but good guess!

And it's up an hour early! That's not fair!
