And you get a spiral knights costume of metal sonic?
Would be cool, but those things link to the armor, so you upgrade to better armor and you lose it.

So yeah sonic CD, I assume this game is pretty good?

I'm not a fan, but I gather it's one of the most fondly remembered 2D Sonics, so yeah, I think so.

You can get around that by sticking the pretty armor in the cosmetic slot. (Like in Terraria.)

It's not uncommon for people to say it's the best 2D Sonic game, and there's a lot you could say in its favor from a relatively "objective" point of view. I'd say go for it if you like Sonic 1-3.

Well that would be good enough for me since I quite enjoyed the third one along with Sonic and Knuckles.

Speaking of which, I own Sonic 1 twice(bought on XBLA and now have it on Sonic Generations) and have yet to play it.

I'm going to be honest here. I disliked Sonic CD. Just to play it as a high-speed platformer, it wasn't bad. But the time travel mechanic was so difficult to activate, I found it pretty much impossible to get any kind of a good ending.

Yeah Ive been hearing some mixed reviews of it.
For $5 and me not hating a sonic game yet(NOTE: I have never played Labyrinth nor have I played enough of '06 to get a good opinion of it.).
EDIT: Dear lord is the game loud.

Sonic CD is both different from the other early platformers and yet it's also the one that most closely resembles it far more than any Sonic game since then. I never actually beat it, but I did start playing through it and enjoyed it. Can't remember why I stopped actually...probably just time. I'm going to pick it up eventually. Good to finally see both soundtracks in this version. Every re-release had always been favoring the US soundtrack.

EDIT:So Sonic CD. It is a good game so Im glad I bought it, but the whole time travel stuff confuses me. Its a pain to do and to me not getting the "good" future counts as losing for these types of games. Causing me to ragequit out of the level for just completing it.

I want Sonic Generations. I want it a lot. But my credit card doesn't work. Plus the ratio of USD prices in my country has gotten quite bizarre.

I'm trying to trade a game and some TF2 items in some TF2 forums in hopes for getting one to no avail though. I guess I'll have to let this one slide as well =<

I got that during the holiday sale (because it had a gift bag achievement). It's basically a puzzle game wherein you are an alien tasked with destroying man-made structures.

It's pretty fun, actually.

I just bought Sonic CD and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and I have to say Sonic CD is a lot more frustrating then I remember it being when I played it as a part of the Sonic Gems Collection when I was little but then again playing a platformer with a keyboard isn't exactly ideal not to mention it has a rather odd control setup and it can't be remapped.

On a totally kinda-unrelated semi-related note, after buying and playing Blackwell series on steam, I think that every adventure gamer should try it out

You can play it with a gamepad thankfully.
PC controls on a platformer are almost never good.

My Xbox 360 gamepad that I used for Pc gaming got it's wire eaten by one of my dogs a while back and I just haven't thought to replace it,maybe I'll do that today.
