I'm sorry to ask like this, but I figured asking where I could was worth a shot.

That link leads to a picture I drew, hosted on DeviantArt. It's in a contest where the prize is $1000, and the picture would be used as the cover for a book to be published. Normally, I hate asking for something like this, but if you like my picture, would you please favorite it for me? You don't even have to comment or anything if you don't want, but personally criticism is always welcome. I know i'm nowhere near a 'perfect artist.' I'm still learning.

The host of the contest stated that 'favorites are votes' and 'artists can ask for votes wherever they want.' And you only have to have this Favorited for the duration of the contest, so could remove it from your favorites on November 1st if you like!

It's my first pic i've drawn without using real outlines, because as i'm sure you can tell, my favorite style is cartoon. But I could really use this money, and the book cover deal would look fantastic on my resume, (Have even tried applying for Telltale once, and plan to do so again in the future!) so if there's anyone with a bit of spare time to just go fave my piece, i'd be extremely grateful!

I think it's good but traditional is hard core, you screw up in traditional and it's like photoshop but you don't get as many "undos".

Sure, why not. You brought me to this contest, I didn't even know it existed. So in some twisted logic I guess that makes you a valid person for me to vote for.

Haha! It's funny you say that because When drawing on paper, I habitually reach for 'Ctrl+Z' when I mess up, only to slap my forehead at my own brief moment of stupidity. XD

Thanks! and I know, I don't contribute much to the TTG community, but I am a proud owner of all of the 'Monkey island' games, 'Back to the Future' games, a few Sam and Max games, and I'd use some of this money if I won to start purchasing the 'Walking Dead' games!

To you, I know that means nothing, and that of course doesn't mean this community should feel compelled to help me, But this is just a simple request to anyone who has a DA account and a few seconds to spare. I figured it wasn't asking for much. ^^;

To be honest, i'm terrible at keeping up with forum communities in general! I see members with thousands of posts like you, and can only applaud your diligence! XD While I joined in 2009, I'm just not good at saying anything in communities. I think it stems from a bad past of always being shut down by trolls or something. Haha!

I'm not forcing anyone's hand here, and even if you guys don't feel comfortable doing it, I understand. I appreciate the thought at least.

I used to be a lurker, too. Then I decided to force myself to make one hundred posts. Most of them were awful. But it got me used to talking to people and now... well... look at my post count. It says lots and that is exactly how many I have.
