Yeah. I've been good on not jumping on the hype train for things too soon recently, and I did not exactly like the Dark Knight as much as most. Ah well.

My opinion on this movie is that I'll probably see it one way or another. I may be seeing it several years after the release, but it will happen.

The only hung I know about it is that they got my parents to close their shop for the day to film some of the riot scenes. They were allowed to do business, but were not allowed to park or let anyone else park in front f their store, including their delivery van. They were allowed to take pictures, however.

I watched a test-screening. It's got some interesting ideas, but the talking kangaroo voiced by Eddie Murphy was a little bit much, so I'm pretty sure they'll cut him from the final version. Also, the musical number about Toothbrush Man was entertaining, but I thought it distrupted the flow of the movie (it was fine, but did they really need an hour of it?)

Not dark enough, but I do agree that the whole "tack a new word onto the end of the previous movie's title" scheme of sequel naming feels kind of stupid when you wait until after the second movie to start doing it. And even if it was okay, "Rises" hardly feels like the best addition they could've made.
On the other hand, it's a goddamn title. It really has no bearing on the movie whatsoever.
