Default Monkey Island SE PS3 Compatibility?

I was thinking of importing this from the UK but I wasn't sure if it would work on my US PS3. I've always thought PS3 games were region free but the company I'm purchasing from has a disclaimer that says PAL games will not always work on US consoles. Has anybody in the US gotten this game? Does anyone know if it works or not?

You could just download the Special Editions from PSN...or Steam...or XBLA...

Point is, you don't need to import.

I know but I have so little space on my PS3 these days that every time I download a new game, I have to choose which of my old games to sacrifice to the deletion gods. Besides, I'm old-fashioned enough that I still enjoy having it on disc in a box on my shelf.

You should have installed a 500 GB hard drive. Sure they're about $100 or something but they're a good investment. Maybe by now there are already 1 TB drives.

Be sure that when you buy one, it's a 2.5" SATA. Installation instructions are all over the internet.

Yes, the game will work, but I should say, the games do NOT run from the disc, they just install the game to your hard drive, so you'll still need to make room.
