Default PC gamepad compatibility

So i just got this sweeeet game on pc (steam). I started it and i can't seem too use my gamepad with this game. I tought you could with JP? I really want too use my xbox (pc) gamepad because i really dislike playing Walking dead with keyboard and mouse. Any options on how to make this work? Really want to get into this sweet game!

Kindest regards

The game supports the 360 and Logitech gamepads. Are you using one of those?

Are you using a wired gamepad? I just loaded the Steam version up and it worked fine without any configuration needed.

Also, make sure the gamepad is plugged in and turned on prior to the starting the game, or it won't be detected.

Darn you Mike, don't go using the S word in this forum, when we loyal TT gamers don't have the game yet!!!

Can't you just go into properties and choose to run it as Windows XP?

Bumping this because the Afterglow XBOX 360 Controller doesn't work with my PC, but only with the Walking Dead - works fine with other games...just curious if it could.

Default Windows 8 gamepad

Are you getting the error where it doesn't even start when you have a gamepad plugged in on Windows 8. A .dll that you can copy and paste into the game files should fix that. Did for me:

http://www.topdll.com/download/dinpu...1539e0d1ce7905

Throw that into your steamapps\common\the walking dead\ folder and it should work.

That did fix the issue of the game not starting but I still cannot use my 360 controller.

I found the solution. You need to download this specific .dll file, http://www.topdll.com/download/dinpu...1539e0d1ce7905

And copy it into your TWD folder. That did the trick!
