Default Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse announced! (Kickstarter)

Tim Schafer really kicked something off when he started his Kickstarter. Another old adventure series gets dusted off, an this is the first adventure Kickstarter since the DFA one that I'm actually kinda interested in.

Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse

(I only used the $100 reward because that's the only picture of the box art that I could find)

There's a video on the Kickstarter page as well, featuring Charles Cecil, some of the artists at work and the return of George and Nico.

Here's the story outline from the Kickstarter page:

Quote:
When a mysterious painting is stolen during an armed raid on a Paris gallery, George and Nico are thrown by chance into the investigation together. From Paris to London and beyond, the trail becomes a race against time as dark forces from Europe's turbulent past are woken from their slumber. Broken Sword characters old and new are encountered - but who can George and Nico trust? The journey they are on reveals a conspiracy as old as the written word, whose ancient heresies will cause innocent blood to spill once more...

Not completely feeling the style yet. Certainly more like the Director's Cut than the original version. Then again, I was never really expecting them to use completely 2D characters again. Some scenes look better than others, it's mostly George that looks a little weird now.

But hey, Revolution is really back again! I'm happy that the remakes were succesful enough, the first two Broken Sword games (and especially the first one) were big parts of my early teens. I hope they still have it in them. I finally have my own credit card, so I'll finally be able to back something. I think I'll go for the $25 dollar version.

Now, if only they'd do Beneath a Steel Sky 2 next...
