Sly cooper thread

Since Thieves in time is coming out in a few months i think a Sly Cooper thread would be good. So first i got a question. What episode do you hate the most in Sly 2 and 3. Mine is episode 3 from Sly 2 because of how much i hate the map and there were missions i hated ( The mission where you need to find stuff in high places and the mission where you need to keep a bug in water)

Might help if you reminded us which missions were which. The Sly games were some years back now. I seem to recall not being too fond of the jungle level in Sly 2.

Sorry the missions were Water Bug Run,Freeing the Elephant and also 2 more i hate is Spice Grinder Destruction, and Blow the Dam. I will admit the operation mission (final mission) of this episode was great

The only part I can really say I hated was the boss fight with Mz. Ruby. You would know why if you played the first one.

Thanks also at least i got all 3 platinum trophies in the sly trilogy.......I hate finding precursor orbs in Jak 2 and 3. :|

I actually liked the boss fight with Ruby, even though I die a lot on it.

My favourite episodes out of these are An Opera Of Fear, Menace from the North eh? (i love this episode's final mission), Jailbreak!, and A Tangled Web

I'm still in the middle of Sly 2 right now, I got the HD Collection not that long ago! I'm on the second episode...

Man, I need to play more. I need to finish it and Sly 3 before Thieves in Time comes out this fall!

I think you will enjoy Episode 4,5, and 7 in Sly 2 but thats just my opinion

Well im replaying Sly 2 and im on episode 5 right now so ill give a review of episodes 1-4

Episode 1 The Black Chateau

Story- Sly,Bentley, and Murray go after Dimitri a night club owner who after being laughed at because of his style of art has joined the klaww gang and he now has the clockwork tail feathers so Sly and the gang start planning how to get them. So at the end of the episode Sly defeats Dimitri under the nightclub and Carmelita arrests Dimitri and Sly and his gang go after a tiger called Rajan.

Funnest moment- When Sly says Dimitri's suit sucks.

Favorite Mission- Follow Dimitri

Favorite moment-When Bentley is talking to Sly inside the nightclub and Bentley being worried

Rating-8/10

Episode 2-A Starry Eyed Encounter

Story- Rajan is a tiger who wants to make himself look rich and he has Clockwork's wings and he has a party in his castle to show them off. Sly sees other klaww gang members and Carmelita, the Contessa and Neyla are also there undercover. So After Sly distracts everyone by dancing with Carmelita. Murray steals the wings and Rajan escapes.

Best Moment- When Sly is Dancing with Carmelita

Favorite mission- Tie between Ballroom Dance Party and Boardroom Brawl

Rating-9/10

Episode 3-The Predator Awakes

Story- Rajan escaped into the forest after He escaped last episode and he has the clockwork heart. At the end of the episode Neyla betrays Sly and Murray and Bentley and Sly,Murray and Rajan is arrested and Bentley is the only one who does not get arrested and now it's up to him to save Sly and Murray.

Favorite Moment- When Bentley talks about Sly and Murray getting captured and Him taking charge and plans to save them at the end of the episode

Favorite Mission-Operation: Wet Tiger

Rating-5/10

Episode 4- Jailbreak!

Story- The episode starts with Bentley saying he spent a week trying to track down Sly and Murray and finally found them and then after a mission he finds out the Contessa brainwashes the people in her jail to tell her where their loot is hidden and then Bentley breaks Sly out of the hole then at the end of the episode they break Murray out.

Favorite moment- The start of the episode where Bentley explains everything and the talk Sly and Bentley have after Bentley takes out the guards around the hole.

Favorite Mission- A tie betwen Big house brawl and Disguise bridge.

Rating-10/10

Sly 2 band of thieves Episode 5-A tangled web review

Story- After finding the Contessa after last episode we see that Neyla and Contessa are in a war,The Contessa has Carmelita and is brainwashing her into taking the fall for her (i forgot to mention that Neyla betrayed Carmelita in episode 3) and the Contessa has the clockwork eyes and now her brainwashing is stronger then ever. So now it's up to the gang to get the clockwork eyes, and save Carmelita, At the end of the episode Neyla steals one of the clockwork eyes after Sly and Bentley save Carmelita and Sly chases after her and gets it back and after a battle with the Contessa she gets it back and then Sly battles her again while she trys to briefly brainwash Sly (It's an attack she uses in part 2 of her boss battle) and gets 1 eye back while Bentley has the other eye but Carmelita Steals the other eye and Murray gets it back and at the end of the episode Carmelita has to escape with Sly,Murray, and Bentley and Neyla gets the credit for beating the Contessa.

Favorite Moment: The talk between Sly and Contessa during her boss fight and Sly proves to be stronger in strength and smarts than the Contessa.

Favorite mission: Operation:High Road

Most annoying part of episode: The Tank controls when you have to use Murray in the tank

Sly 2 Band of Thieves episode 6-He who tames the iron horse review

Story- Sly and the gang go after Jean Bison a person who was frozen and thawed out in the future is using trains to help the klaww gang with spice shipments and he's using the clockwork lungs and the clockwork stomach to power the trains. At the end of the episode they get the clockwork parts after an attack from Neyla where Bentley fights her with his R.C plane.

Favorite Moment- The talk during part 1 and 2 of Neyla's boss battle

Funniest moment- When Neyla calls Sly ''poodle'' and calls Bentley and Murray ''little friends'' which Sly says after part 1 of the fight.

Favorite Mission: Tie between Spice in the sky and Operation:Choo-Choo

Sly 2 Band Of Thieves Episode 7-Menace from the north eh? review

Story: Sly and the gang notices that the northern lights have been going weird lately and it turns out it's Jean Bison making a northern light battery for Arpeggio and he has the clockwork talons. So the gang has a plan. Enter Jean Bison's lumberjack games and win the talons and then hide in the northern light battery to get to Arpeggio's blimp. But after the gang is found out at the lumberjack games Jean Bison throws the talons at them and knocks them out and when they wake up they are trapped in a room but there's a pipe Bentley can fit through so he goes through it and Jean Bison is in the room he lands in. He reveals that he found out where Sly and the gang's safehouse was and took all there clockwork parts and sold them to Arpeggio. So Bentley uses a walkie talkie to tell Sly to use stuff inside the sawmill to beat Jean Bison and then after beating him they race to the battery and think everything that happened through.

Favorite mission: Operation Canada Games

Favorite Moment: Bentley's fight with Jean Bison

Funniest Moment: When Sly tells Bentley at the end of the Jean Bison fight good work and Murray says what about me? and Sly says good work opening the door

Rating:10/10 ok when i said a tangled web was my favorite episode i have now changed it to this episode because i think it had the most fun missions and this operation mission was my favorite Sly 2 mission.

Sly 2 episode 8 review

Story- Arpeggio rebulids clockwork and plans to use the spice that Dimitri gave to people in his nightclub and use a machine from the Contessa to make people in paris hate so Clockwork will be powerful but Neyla who was working for him betrays him and steals the body to become Clock-La and after Sly and Carmelita fight her in a helicopter and she grabs the safehouse with Bentley and Murray inside it. So Sly hits her till she falls down to paris where Murray opens her mouth, Bentley bombs these things in her mouth that make lasers and then Bentley grabs the hate chip and then Clock-La's mouth falls on Bentley and he can't walk. So Carmelita destorys the hate chip and Sly tells Carmelita that he will give him self up if she lets Bentley and Murray go but during a while after noticing that they have been flying around paris for 2 hours. Sly finds out that Murray and Bentley took out the pilot and Sly escapes.

Favorite moment: the ending

Favorite mission- Tie between Mega Jump Job, and part 2 of Carmelita's Gunner (where you control Sly)

Worst Mission- Tie between Charged TNT run, and Part 1 of Carmelita's Gunner

Rating-6/10 I hate the hub of this mission with Episode 3's being worst and a couple of the missions were very boring but it still had good missions and Carmelita's Gunner part 2 boss was great

Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves - The Beginning Of The End review

Story: The story starts at the end of the game where we see Sly and his gang which after a series of adventures has grown larger with the number of people in it are on a island owned by Dr.M a person who stole The Cooper Vault which holds all the loot all the coopers in Sly's family collected and after almost getting into it. The door is blasted by Dr.M who demands Sly's cane to open the vault but Bentley blasts him with a sleep dart causing his machine to go out of control and as Bentley and Sly are escaping Dr.M comes in a creature he made and he grabs Bentley and Sly throws the cane to save Bentley but The monster grabs Sly and then Sly flashes back to the start of the story to tell us what happened starting with finding Murray after he left the gang in Sly 2

Favorite Moment: The Flashback

Funnest moment: when Sly tells Dr.M that the cane has been in his family for ages and tells him to buy a knockoff at the gift shop

Rating: 8/10 A great start to the game

Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves Episode 1- An Opera Of Fear Review.

Story: Bentley and Sly head to Venice to find Murray but Murray tells them he was told that he could no leave Venice till the water was clear and it turned out it was thanks to an opera singer called Octavio who is dumping tar into the rivers and is planning to blow up bulidings with a switch and he plans to do it during a comeback concert of his. At the end Carmelita ruins Bentley's plan and Bentley is knocked out by Octavio which Murray sees and Murray gets angry and starts fighting Octavio and beats him and then Sly,Bentley, and Murray leave Venice and Murray returns to the gang.

Favorite Mission: Tie between Operation Tar be gone, Tar Ball, and Canal Chase

Favorite Moment: Bentley and Murray's talk at the start of Tar Ball

Funniest Moment: When during the mission Guard Duty when trying to get the second blueprint from the second coffeehouse Sly keeps talking to Bentley about getting some food.

Rating:9/10 a very good first episode

Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves Episode 2 -Rumble Down Under review

Story- Murray feels gulity because he didnt ask his teacher the Guru could he come back to the gang so the gang head to the outback but find that miners have dug up the land and they locked up the Guru and they unleashed the mask of dark earth. A mask that when it is worn it makes person wearing it large and very angry. At the end of the episode Bentley comes up with a plan and when it almost works Carmelita ruins it and the mask of dark earth goes on her and turns her large and after a fight Sly manages to knock the mask off and it get destroyed.

Favorite Mission: Tie between Lemon Rage and Operation: Moon Crash

Funnest moment: Tie between Murray's way of saying how to get angry in Lemon Rage, and Sly's Carmelita is large joke from Operation: Moon Crash, And Sly and the gang taking pictures in the ending cutscene for the episode.

Worst Mission: Tie between Big Croc , Big Truck, and The Claw.

Rating:7/10. It is the worst episode in the game in my opinion but it's not bad at all. Just conpared to the other episodes it's the worst. My problems were the place around the safehouse where you had to run to places to start the missions was badly designed and made getting to missions a job and it had a few bad missions but still the good missions make this episode good.

Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves Episode 3- Flight Of Fancy review

Story: Bentley tries to get a girl called Penelope to help get to the cooper vault using her Rc plane and car but she says she only works for the best and she works for the black baron but says that if they beat the black baron in the upcoming Aces contest she will help them. So after a little cheating and blowing up airplanes. Sly and The black baron end up on a plane fighting on a wing and after beating the black baron. We see that the black baron is Penelope and she joins the gang

Favorite Mission: Tie between Beauty and the beast, Operation: Turbo Dominant Eagle, and Aces Semifinals

Worst Mission: Cooper Hanger Defense

Favorite Moment: The starting cutscene between Bentley and Penelope

Rating:10/10 This is my favorite episode with most of the missions being good and with only 2 missions i really hated
