I'll reiterate my point.
When I watch a TV program I look forward to the next episode.
When I play a game I want to sit down and play!
Fans of telltale will continue to buy into telltale's bullshit.
Fans of the walking dead will never again buy another telltale game.

That makes no sense and isn't a basis for an argument.

Actually Walking Dead is my first TellTale game, and actually made me interested in the rest.

I think episodic gaming is fine although I think there is a lot to learn. Finishing a lot more of a series before release then releasing strictly on a monthly basis or shorter episodes but releasing on a strictly weekly structure for very low cost would work far better than the current haphazard launch schedule.

A new hour long episode every week for 12 weeks or 20 weeks would surely get more people interested for an extended period of time.

Brilliant use of zero logic...
Heck, walking dead fans should be just as patient as telltale fans as they have to wait a month for even less than telltale's games...

Wait, wait, wait...
Redbull is upset at the game being episodic, despite being told that the game would be episodic before he purchased it?
Hmmm, yes, this seems logical.

So wait, is Redbullxo saying that, since I wasn't a fan of The Walking Dead before being introduced to it by the game, that I couldn't possibly have become one as a result? That I'm not actually enjoying the comics I've been reading?

Funny, their investors seem to disagree with you.

Face the facts, you've been living a lie, pal. That one part you read in the comic you really loved? You actually hated it.

You should go to school ... don't buy things you don't want.

You just like the first episode so much that you can't wait for the next one. That's kind of a compliment to TTG. But to me you seem to be a whiny little kid with no manners.

I have the theory that there are only 2 haters, who always create new forum accounts to spread their poison. And the one above is one of their accounts. Don't they have better things to do?

While I am Constantly checking for the release of ep2 and disheartened when it not there I am in no way angry or resentful to TTG for this I think they have done a fantastic job and with the format of the game im surprised ep doesnt take months to make.
This said I have noticed a lack of responses to important questions from the TTG staff. I have seen a few responses to people who have mention aspects such as storyline or inconsistencies, the type of question that is easily answered because the person asking is under a misaprehension about some aspect. Some of these questions have been asked after more important questions have been posted so clearly there has been TTG staff on the forums to have answered them. Please dont misunderstand me I am in no way upset or angry by this, its just something i noticed and had to point out.

I think the comic analogy by Zmally and Superfluid works the best to describe the episodic model

Why, thank you!

And although even in past years, not every "important" question got an answer from the devs, your observation that they're just not around as much for the TWD game as I pompously stated before is quite correct. I have a not that secret theory about WHY it is that way at present, and it has a lot to do with the single, well, communicative goal many TWD game fans in this forum have right now.

I still hope that we'll return to the usual, fun customer/dev communication once episode 2 is out and some official word about the (new?!) principles of the game schedule gets out there for authentic reference. Fingers crossed!!

I don't want to wait for 1 or 2 months or however long every time for ONLY playing 2 hours. That's kind of ridicilous.

I told 2 of my friends about the game and they want to buy it too but I adviced them to wait until ALL GAME has been released in its entirely and THEN buy it. I would certainly have donew that if I knew beforehand. I mean 2 hours is just too short no matter if the game is great. I felt really empty and Like "WTF? that was IT??!" after finishing the episode after such an ridicilously short amount of time.

Any one else feels the same kind of frustration?
I was also very disappointed with how short the first episode was!!! Just when you thought it was about to get really good, it ends!!! I too beat it in a couple hours.. then played through all the rest of the options in another couple hours lol. Totally not enough gameplay time. I wish they would have given us a little more.. that was practically only a teaser!! but I'm hoping they have something bigger and better in store for us in the next episode/s!

Well the good news is the episodes in games past for TTG did not see equal amount of game time on every episode. Some were short, some were long. I'm going to guess from the amount of delay on this one that this is going to be a longer episode.

Or they'll supply more choices and arrive at the same length. Or they're supplying inverted controls and have to shoehorn that into the already finished installer. Maybe they have to take out scenes because this episode could otherwise look tastelessly similar to some recent news and it's going to be shorter because of it. Maybe the environments are more beautiful and that took some unexpected extra work. Maybe the E3 demo took up the better part of two weeks. Maybe a crucial voice actor got ill and they had to wait until he or she is halfway healthy again. Maybe an annoying bug keeps reappearing for unknown reasons. Or they're out of coffee. Or Doug Tabacco sued the hell out of TTG for defamatory portrayal.

Or it's just taking more time without much of a reason.

TL;DR: Jake has already stated that we will have to expect roughly the same episode length. He could be wrong, though. After all, three episodes are far from finished.
