Certification isn't the issue here. I have both consoles and the title is available on the EU XBLA store. I bought the season pass on PS3 as it was the better deal.
I'm not going to go into the entitled "I WANT IT NOW" thing, because it really doesn't get us anywhere. I was super excited to see the title was out this week after such a long wait (just shy of three months instead of the advertised one month), so imagine my disappointment that I cant play it.
As far as I know the EU playstation store only updates once per week - so I'd wager the earliest we'll get the title is on Wednesday. The fact that there's no concrete release date for EU PS3 customers is ridiculous, and neither Sony nor Telltale want to fess up and admit responsibility, from what I can see.
It's really not good business practice. It's still a good product, and I'm sure you Xbox users are enjoying another one, but it really unsettles me as a consumer to constantly feel like something I paid for has been delayed seemingly until the developer/publisher is "good and ready". If there's a reason for the delay, then tell us - it would go a long way to restoring some good faith.
If they were honest/realistic about their timelines from the beginning, or even had the integrity to address the issue after the fact, it would be much appreciated. This tight lipped approach isn't exactly going to make me leap on one of their products again - no matter how good it might seem. I was genuinely intrigued at this episodic gaming concept, but this experience has left me as cold as corpse!
