I get to the screen door.
I am propmted to open the door.
Brenda is on the stairs with hostage.

I walk up and she tells me to stop. I stop. NO PROMPT to talk to her.

I move up a little and still NO PROMPT.

I move up a little more and I get shot and DIE.

Wash and repeat for 30mins.

I quit playing the game.

I did get a prompt once to tell Brenda to "put the gun down" but after that the same happens again, I move up a little and then get shot.

The prompt is I would say 1 out of 10 tries.

I dont think I will play anymore until they patch this. They need a stop or a backup key.

I can't get past it...

I NEVER get any dialog once I'm in the house.

I NEVER see Mark on the stairs.

I've moved very slowly, an inch at a time then stopped, Once she tells me to stop right there, she shoots. I've had my pointer directly at her face while fast tapping "X" and still no dialog, then again tapping "A" but I still get no dialog and I still never see Mark

I've replayed chap 6 choosing different, but it still plays out the same.

I've deleted and reload Episode 2 but still can't get past it.

I've tried for more than 2 hours but it still does the same thing, no dialog, no Mark

What's going on ?

I'm having the same problem on PS3. I got it to happen once, but then she moved up the stairs and I moved closer. No prompt even though I stopped. Then I got shot.

It is definitely glitched and takes some patience to get it done.

I moved closer a bit and could click on her, let her talk try to influence her.
Waited ... moved in .. stopped and could click her again.

So i'm assuming you guys can't click her ?

I get the same thing no clicking. The 'sunburst pointer' is on screen but no options to action.

Where is Mark supposed to be, which set of stairs; in or out?

It was so difficult to knock Andy when dragging me to the fence. I clicked twice on the first instance and still didn't get to sock him. Clicked once for the second instance and nothing. It wasn't just the difficulting in getting the mouse on the spot (back screen moving too much) it was that the 'clicking' was unresponsive.

Please read this post I just made. Hopefully it helps you get past the scene.

It is not a "glitch" per-se, but more of an unfortunate circumstance that has affected players which makes it extraordinarily difficult to get past this scene.

I'm on PC, using mouse and keyboard and it doesn't work for me either.

For those of you who completed this level, that's great for you, but for the rest of us, this level of the game would appear to be bugged and impossible to complete. I never get any kind of dialogue options whatsoever.

All I can do is move forward or stand in one place. I tried waiting for several minutes, but nothing happens. If I move forward, I get shot. There is not any way to complete this area.

Once she gets startled, and points her gun at you, you need to let go of your keyboard. If you press any button while she is aiming at you, she will fire. Also, the dialogue-trigger is not in her face. It's a bit down to the right if i remember right.

I tried this, as soon as she pointed her gun at me, I waited for 5 minutes and nothing happened. As soon as I tap the forward button and take one more step she shoots me.

I moved my cursor all over the place and there wasn't any dialogue trigger anywhere in the room.
