Telltale Games

Hi Everybody,
Not sure if this is the correct place to post but here goes.
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but my actions aren't being saved when accessing The Walking Dead Chapter 2.

So, what happens is I finish chapter 1 with my choices and stats intact and then startup chapter 2 on the same save game but none of my choices are recognized, e.g. I let Doug die in chapter 1 and now he's alive in chapter 2 (and I don't mean alive as a zombie). It's rather disorienting.
Anyway will a patch be released for this? I bought the game on Steam if that makes a difference. I enjoy Telltale games and I think The Walking Dead is great but the save system is a little frustrating and the aforementioned problem more so.

Thanks Owyn, I'll give the steam one a try, not sure I've got the technical knowhow for the other solutions and I'm not keen on messing with my registry, last time I did that the whole thing went haywire.
