Hector ep 1 won't run on my Mac

I recently bought the complete series of Hector on Steam but when I try to start the game I get the message "The application Telltale Games quit unexpectedly."

This only happens with the first episode. The other ones star up and run normally.

I have tried uninstalling the game and downloaded it again but it made no difference.

Can anyone please help me with this?

I still haven't begun playing the games since I would like to start from the beginning.
