Hey guys, what do you think of the new Silent Hill movie? I know games-to-movies is never a good idea, but I kinda liked the first one. Even though the story was pretty much butchered from the original game, I still found it an enjoyable movie with some great atmosphere and set-design. The acting was pretty bad in the first one, and I'm hoping they improved on that. Still, as far as videogame movies go, I think this was one of the better ones. That's not saying much ofcourse, but it gives me enough curiousity to go and watch the second movie in the theaters. |

Looks a little more faithful than the original. I will wait for the reviews though.

Looks like a piece of shit, complete with the brown-green, gritty texture that makes up actual shit. Will probably end up being a guilty pleasure, though.

Yeah, but the first one followed that too. I admit I was nitpicking, but I don't like that the movie uses the nurses and Pyramid Head again for fanservice when they existed in 2 for REAL PSYCHOLOGICAL REASONS. That tells me a lot. And while some of the imagery is unsettling, most of it is just....hilarious to me.
