How about I keep away from threads that don't have spoiler tags, and you keep away from posts that have spoiler tags. How does that sound?

It just seems like such an arrogant sense of entitlement that a person would go to a forum that does nothing but talk about the game and expect people not to talk about it.

And it makes no sense because depending on how much you've played, if you've played at all, anything can be a spoiler. What is a spoiler for one person may not be for the next.

In this game, because of the choices (I know what you're thinking and save it for another thread) even people that played the same episode can have things spoiled.

The episodes come out months apart so what could you be dying to talk about afters months of discussion and just can't avoid the forums until you've played the latest episode?

Seriously, what is the bright line? Just mentioning anything in ep 1 is a spoiler if you've never played the game.

I just can't wrap my head around this. Is there a time limit? It's a spoiler for 2 weeks after the last release? I mean, how does it work? I just don't get it.

Personally, I everything should be considered a spoiler so therefore people should avoid the forum if they don't want anything spoiled. Seriously.

It is as Marleysativa said in his/her first post in this thread. It is because EU and the rest of the PS3 world have not got Episode 3 yet at all (I am in the UK so I am affected) while Australia and New Zealand still have not got Episode 2 yet because Australia have strict laws on 18+ games by banning them. If Australia ban a game then New Zealand don't get it so they are further behind then the EU and the rest of the PS3 world. Though I hear Australia are relaxing the laws finally in I think January 2013 so after that they might finally get all the Episodes. I hope.

It happened to us before with Episode 2, we had to wait I think it was two weeks longer then everyone else because someone screwed up. Don't know who it was but someone did and did not own up to it. So do we want to find out what happens in Episode 3 before finding out a release date? No we do not as it would spoil our gaming experience.

We do check the blogs, Facebook and Twitter but also a lot come on here to vent their frustrations and it is not a technical problem so this seems like the right place to create threads on the subject at hand. Plus it happened once that was understandable but twice? I would have thought TTG would have learned and ether:

A) Held back the release dates for all systems so they could all be released on time like they promised.

or

B) Since they know how long it takes to put it through QA for SCEE (or not as we do not know. I keep hearing stories that TTG did not even put it in for QA for SCEE as they forgot but until someone owns up I do not know what to believe) put the game in for QA for SCEE first and then for SCEA and Xbox and PC after so they would be released at the same time like they promised.

Say someone not familiar with forums (I'm sure everyone who bought the game isn't as internet savvy as you or I) and such is searching google for tech support for the game and comes to the forums by accident. Atleast the spoiler tags is a warning to not read any further. That doesn't make that person stupid, just unlucky to have clicked on the wrong link.

I dunno. I've used plenty of forums where spoiler tags are used so maybe I'm just used to it.

Okay, in your example, the only way Google would bring them here is if people are posting thing that should be in the help forum or tech support forum here. And that happens a lot.

And since there is a forum that is full of spoilers they can get spoiled anyway. You going to ask people put spoiler tags in the spoiler forum too? What would be the point in that?

And Google works by taking you in the thread so it's not like spoiler tags would help anyway. You would already be in trouble.

But if Google lead you to the front page then you should be able to read and get to the help and tech forums.

I know people think I'm mad or whatever but I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it all.

Yes they are important as I do not want it spoiled for myself as for a lot of people it got spoiled for them and part of the plot got spoiled for me in the Thread about Episode 3 being late. Am I complaining about waiting 2 weeks extra? No I am not but a lot of people are complaining and to be honest they have a point to it since TTG promised that Episode 3 would be released at roughly the same time as every other system and since it is not a lot of people are angry.

I am more angry about something else entirely which is the Skrim DLC Dawnguard might never ever come to PS3. But then again they "had problems" with Fallout 3 DLC then they magically fixed it after Xbox and PC had all the DLC so I do not know what to believe.

Edit: Just found out that Episode 3 is not on the EU PSN update. Now this means it might come on a odd day like Episode 2 did which was a Friday not a Wednesday. Or as someone from Sony said "it could be next week alas I do not wish to get your hopes up."

But what makes this so hilarious is right after you say you're not complaining (which you were) you spend the rest of the post complaining. You even start complaining about different games! You don't know how hard I'm laughing. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard.

gotta say after all the bs rp comes out with and all these new topics rp makes.

Spoilers are always going to be a problem regardless of what is done to prevent them.

there will always be at least 1 asshole who will find a way round the anti spoilers like a miss leading topic headline/thread title someone did that not long ago..

For the people who have self control it's watch the forums till a date is announced and then once the first release is out avoid every single form of information hub.. simple

but depending on the delay 'common sense' goes out the window, and in some cases doesn't exist anymore..

so in my case my carley page was used to spoil ep3 by 3 people, my own fault for thinking they would be questions about ep3 release not the content.

so for ep4 i will prob's stay on my xbox all the time till it's out on pc if ttg decide to take the piss again and release it first on xbox/psn NA again..and then have to wait for ttg direct and origin to get it before steam...

That which you quoted from me from another post is not me complaining just like the rest of the post. It was me stating facts. You obviously did not read my post and just skimmed through it. That or you can not read very well

And laugh all you want at all the none complaining I have done (I must be a good comedian then) but put yourself in a EU PS3 users position (not me as I am fine with waiting). Episode 2 was late, you have been told by TTG that Episode 3 will be released around the same time as everyone else to only find out that you have to wait another 2 weeks maybe more. As I said a lot of people are angry about it because they have been promised and TTG have broken that promise and most of them have bought the Season Pass like I have but I am smart enough to wait.

You are asking if I was angry or annoyed about Episode 2 being released late? No I was not. Where other EU and rest or the PS3 world? A lot where yes but I was not one of them at all.

I understand what you mean. Maybe they should do what other forums do and have a general discussion (spoilers allowed) and general discussion (no spoilers). I suppose that would solve the issue. Most forums do this actually.
