Kenny Episode 1 Choices Glitch (Spoilers)

In Episode 1 where Larry is trying to kill Duck I told Kenny to reason with him. Then I yelled at Larry telling him that he wouldn't lay a hand on anyone. In episode 2, Kenny says that I wanted to throw Duck out of the building and that he doesn't trust me with his family. I realize that this happens because of the "reasoning" option. This just seems like a huge oversight since I basically said I was going to beat the hell out of Larry if he touched Duck and Kenny said he trusted me completely at the end of 1.

Yup same here, seems Kenny forgot entirely how much I sided with him and helped him out in Episode 1. Basically towards the end of episode two I was hoping I'd have a chance to leave his ass to die.

Yeah by the end of 2 he was like an arch nemesis. He just argued with everything. It was just a lost cause trying to reason with him. Lily actually listened to feedback.

Weird, I also tried to reason in the first episode, and Kenny and Lee got along great at the start of episode two. Maybe you sided against Kenny in some other decisions? I don't know. Didn't really matter in the end though, I'm also enemies with Kenny now since I tried to save Larry and told Kenny to fuck off afterwards.

Yeah, I had that problem. It seemed that Kenny forgot how I threatened to punch Larry and defended Duck. >.>

i felt empty and disapointed by this change if kenny 'goes' larry on lee then whats the point of the choice to side with him?

giving the player a false impression while clever to fool us and then surprise us, it then makes the choice a moot point.. like so many others...

ok so in ep2 we have kenny copying clem constantly bringing up the bad stuff..

imo very depressing...not a good thing for a game...

i hope ttg improve the choices making a better impact than just one character bitching on and on...like a kid spitting their dummy out..

Yeah, my stats for episode 1 say I chose to rescue Duck and that I sided with Kenny at the drugstore, yet at the start of episode 2 he says I left Duck in danger twice.

This isn't the only bug I've noticed while playing episode 2.
It was already very late arriving. I don't see why they chose not to make it a little bit later and actually release a fully completed and polished product.

Agreed. This really threw me off. I hope they fix this, I dont mind replaying it, the game is pretty short this far anyway just PLEASE fix it

Yes please fix it. It was the only disappointing thing about this episode. Kenny thinks that I wanted to throw Duck out of the drugstore. On the stats it said I sided with Larry, but only because of one dialogue option I accidently chose, because I thought I would be siding with kenny. Generally though I argued against Larry, and I even punched him. I was sticking up for Kenny and I was led to believe that characters remember what you say to them. At the end of episode 1, kenny even called me a friend. This seems like a huge oversight. Okay in episode 2 I found myself changing allegiances, as Kenny turned into a bit of an a***** but for continuity purposes it did annoy me.

i found this too be very strange too.. I sided with kenny the whole way in the first episode, but like the rest of you he said i did the opposite, which is what is making me drift towards Lilly from now on..

Yes, Kenny has gone from being a friend in episode 1, to an enemy in episode 2. I don't care that Larry was an a*******, I began to understand that he was just protecting his daughter. I owed it to LIlly, to help save her dad. He's the only family she had. As for kenny, throwing a rock at his head.. that is just f***** up and there were kids present. I can see that kenny is going to be a loose cannon.

I have the same issue. I had no intention of allowing Larry to throw Duck out but saw no cause for making an already tense situation worse. I told Kenny to reason with him and when that still didn't work I stepped in threatening to stop Larry by force.

Kenny and Katjaa both thanked me later, Kenny even going so far as to say we sure told that old man (or something along those lines). I consoled him about Shawn and generally was left feeling he was my closest ally among the group. Even in the preview for the next episode Lilly was going on about how I always had it in for her dad and such.

Yet, the stats showed me siding with Larry and in ep.2 Kenny is antagonistic towards me frequently and states that I'd chosen to side against him when he and Duck needed my support. Much the same as the others in this thread by the end of ep.2 he and I seemed to be at odds. Though throughout the episode I argued for cooperation between him and Lily, both of whom seem to see this as a slight, and sought to help Lily with her father before condemning him.

Not criticizing that bit merely saying that it undoubtedly lead further to our falling out at the end of the episode.

Not to mention when I needed him to help me against Danny St. John he hesitated and Lily instead came charging in to save me. (I'm assuming this is due to my choice to help Lily with her father instead of our running disagreements though I'm not certain.)

As far as him being more negative as some have said he seems. I will say that it's been three months, food is strained, and pretty much everyone seems more understandably frayed.

In case this is relevant I've been playing on the xbox. I also play with all notifications off so I may be missing something that's made more clear with them on. I'm not certain how informative they are.

It's seriously frustrating and I hope it gets patched/fixed. I really dont mind replaying since the episodes dont last that long anyway

Yep. Same problem here, I hope they fix it too.

Character relationships and player choice are the crux of this game and it would be horrible to know that those mechanics weren't functioning properly.

I'm not sure if this is even relevant or maybe you already fixed it but when i did the reason thing and then defend Kenny. In the meat locker my character said we should give the benefit of doubt or something like that to larrry

Kenny WILL be lee's best mate and buddy and reasonable in ep2 if you do the following
ep1

save duck
take his side by choosing kick his 'larry' ass duck stays he ain't bit
console him
feed duck energy bar

ep2
take kenny's side
feed duck cheese and crackers then kenny the apple
tried to give stuff to katjaa but she said no
then help kenny kill larry

and lilly hasn't changed a lot if at all..

Seems like they would have fixed that for episode 2, as that was a known bug in the stats at the end of the episode 1. I did a rewind to pick a different option in ep 1, just in case it wasn't just a stat bug.

I think jake said that all the options were weighted equally in the questions thread.

What if Lee say Kenny that he should reason with Larry with the same choices you've posted?

In EP 2 Kenny will say you tried to throw duck out, when you talk to him at the swing. and in the meat locker, when kenny is trying to convince you to kill Larry he would say just like you tried to throw duck out.
