Thumbs up Movie Recommendations: for zombie apocalypse or has refrence to walking dead

I'm really starting to like/love zombies, movie recommendations please!
I havnt seen many so need good recommendations!

It doesnt have to be a zombie apocalypse movie also just even a refrence to the walkin dead characters you seen for example

Story refrence:
Man On Fire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s_-O4HglGI

revenge movie where denzel goes on a rampage to avenge/find a kidnapped and maybe killed little girl he was protecting

Zombie apocalypse:
28 days later
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H-T7RPvt2k

Just shows the survival and most realistic view of zombies taking over and is high budget movie it seems so its slightly beleivable

funny enough if you mix the two films above I think you have the walking dead

Off the top of my head (some are not classic zombies but close enough):

-Romero's movies
-I am Legend
-Dawn of the Dead remake
-Shaun of the Dead
-Zombieland
-Planet Terror
-REC & REC 2 (Spanish films)
not the mediocre Quarantine although I did like Quarantine 2 lol
-Evil Dead series
-Flight of the Living Dead (guilty pleasure)
-Resident Evil series
-Dead Snow
-Fido
-The Crazies

I'm sure I missed some... but have fun watching!

Romeros movies because well, why not go back to where zombies as we know them started?

If you wanted to watch one, I suggest Night of the living Dead and Dawn of the Dead.

i found the color remake from the 90's to be the better night of the living dead. Some of the characters were more believable and you didnt want them to die as much. this is always my problem. I dont mind watching a bunch of people getting killed as long as they are believable characters who do things realistically even if they do the wrong/dumb thing. Few movies make you actually care for the people before they start slaughtering them.

My recommendation is the 90's color remake of night of the living dead and the movie from 201? called stakeland. Yes it is vampires but it feels more walking deadish than the funny zombieland which is...more funny than scary. who knew vamps could be scary after twilight(not dissing on true blood tho cuz it rocks)

Hands down, the craziest, goriest, and funniest zombie movie of all time is Braindead (or Dead Alive here in the states). Directed by Peter Jackson believe it or not. Here's the trailer.

I cant stand the Res Evil film franchise. The first one I can sit through, but the others are just hot garbage. Dawn of the Dead remake is nice, Ving Rhames is a boss in it. Shaun of the Dead is an awesome zombie comedy, same with Zombieland. Land of the Dead is my guilty pleasure cuz Im a John Leguizamo fan. Planet Terror was pretty cool. Romeros classic Night of the Living Dead is also good. Most zombie movies suck anyway, they act as guilty pleasures mostly for myself. Obviously AMCs TWD is the best zombie entertainment.

I feel like I've watched them all. If I had to recommend only one, it would have to be the original Night of the Living Dead.

Les Revenants aka They Came Back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4cY1246AWk

Not exactly a zombie movie, but sorta fits in the genre. I enjoyed it, and recommend it to folk who like me, feel like they have seen it all.
