The most depressing 'broken' person

Firstly, I didn't want to make this a poll as I really don't think its good, there are too many characters, plus I want to hear why you think he/she is the most ruined person.

Also, by 'broken' I mean the most destroyed mentally, the most corrupted by the loss of society, family or just life as it was.

Personally I think Kenny is the most ruined, he has lost his family, the one thing he values above all else, to him the boat symbolizes his wife and child. And he'll do anything to get it, even if in the end it wont really make him happy. It just makes him less violent. Who do you guys reckon is the most crazy? Remember less major characters like the St. Johns, Joleene and the bandits are all totally acceptable.

I am thinking Kenny. He did lose his family, most of the things he cared about and all he has left is the Boat. But of course, I was thinking, What about after? He finds the boat, he leaves, but then what? I am thinking after he escapes he will probably end up possibly going mentally crazy or probably go into deep depression. But that is if he does escape, we won't know till Episode 5. :3

Lilly definitely. She lost everything when her dad died and even shot Carely (a likeable person) because she wouldn't let Ben get pushed around. She is completely and utterly broken.

Well judging by her behavior I'm leaning toward Jolene. Se was obsessed with getting her daughter back and literally had no one left (it can be argued at least Kenny has Lee and the group). On the other hand, Clem is pretty broken too.

For a while there, I think it was Andy. His expression after he says that when his family comes out the group is fucked, and you reply "They're not coming!" was so goddamn epic. That whole scene was goddamn epic... ah, episode 2. It almost seems like it's been over a year since I played it

But well, if we're talking about characters who are still alive, I think that Kenny takes the cake for reasons people mentioned above.

I'd actually consider Clem to be not as broken, because she still thinks her parents are alive. Lilly would take second place, because at least she was able to focus her hate on Kenny, but right up until Ben admitted his guilt in the matter, Kenny blamed himself for Kat and Duck, as well as Shawn. The dude pretty much destroyed himself on the inside until Ben gave him something to hate other than himself.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Ben! His position in the group has been hanging on by a straw from the get go. He regularly talks about killing himself.

I'd say Clem. She looks as if she's fine, but she's seen a lot of malice for her age.

Kenny and Lilly are two sides of the same coin in a few ways. And I think, as it stands right now, they are the most broken by their losses.

Andy's actually a pretty good choice too for obvious reasons. I know there's absolutely nothing to back it up but I believe Ben had issues before the apocalypse; what happened just intensified his issues. It's just a gut feeling that I have about him, and it's not like depression/anxiety is massively uncommon in teenagers.

I don't think Clem is broken at all. She has had to acclimate to a different world and has done pretty well for herself. She's perfectly functional and seems emotionally healthy to me, even though she's gullible (which is to be expected for an eight year old).

I wouldn't consider him a contender for "most broken", but I felt bad for Doug in episode 3 because he felt so useless. It was sad hearing that people noticed that he was getting depressed because he couldn't do anything useful. :/

Vernon sort of reminds me of mid-to-late comics Rick in terms of how he views the world. Does that qualify him as broken? Hm. And Jolene was REALLY broken, too, although we didn't really see the events of what made her broken, so it's harder to connect.

And, god, Katjaa... I miss Kenny's cute family so much. I miss Duck and Katjaa loads. I wish there was more time of them just being cute together.

I'm gonna exclude Kenny, cause he goes without saying. So.......

5. Katjaa - Seemed quiet and petite on the outside, but filled with despair.
4. Duck - After Shawn's death, began to realize the horrible new world he had to cope with.
3. Andrew - Decided that the only way to survive was to turn on each other.
2. Lilly - Wouldn't let anybody else have say until she finally cracked. And we all know what happened next.
1. Ben - Tried to help the group, but after causing disasters numerous times, decided it wasn't worth living.

I think most/all of them are pretty much broken, in their own way/ show it in different ways. So it's hard to say who is the most broken.
