TheWalkingDead101.exe Has Stopped Working

Just bought this game yesterday from the telltale store and can not get it to work. I have all up to date drivers and more then enough system requirements. I have tried every fix posted on every forum post, nothing seems to help. I never have any problems with games, and it doesn't seem like there is a fix to this at the moment, spent about 8 hrs the last two days trying to troubleshoot. I am wondering if I purchased this off of steam instead of the TTS if I might have had better luck. Either way I would love any suggestions to fix this.

I have tried:

1)Updating Drives, everything current
2)Going into properties, running as admin, running as Windows 98/Me Compatibilty with disabled desktop composition
3)Unplugging all usb hardware besides mouse and keyboard

Is it possible to convert my Telltale version of this game into a steam version so I can see if those steam fixes would work for me?
Can I download each chapter seperately?
Will there be a patch for this or will there be refunds to those who can not get this game to work?
