Christa Drinking
so what do you guys think about the part where Christa drinks?
my mind is blow from playing episode 5 so i can't decide what to think about it

What is wrong with drinking some alcohol after all that has happened the last couple of days/months?
It numbs the mind somewhat, and while I'm not sure if I would drink, I know that I'd be tempted for sure. I totally understand her. |

From a medical standpoint one hard pull probably won't do any harm. Doing that daily, well, then we might have some issues. But seeing as water will probably be easier to find than hooch in the walking dead universe, I don't see it becoming an issue.
Childbirth is likely to be much, MUCH, more dangerous to Christa and the newborn than a big gulp of whiskey. |

She hesitated because she thought it would hurt the baby but decided to chug it down either way.

One swig of hooch won't do any harm. Leaping across buildings (landing right on her stomach btw) and jumping into zombie infested holes is more likely do lasting damage.
But then again, without medical assistance and somewhere safe to hole up; the future for Christa and baby don't look too rosey. |

She praised Lee for telling them about the bite, but couldn't tell everyone about what was going on with her. She chose to "man" up and overdid it a bit. Was a pretty good scene I thought.

One swig won't do any harm. It's not like she was downing morning after pills like Lori (not that that did anything, either). A healthy baby is more resilient than people seem to think. In saying all that, I obviously didn't drink during my pregnancy. I probably would have taken a drink in Christa's situation though.

It's easy to fake drinking. She didn't want to refuse a drink infront of Kenny and be next on his list of liabilities.

She didn't want Kenny and Lee to know she was pregnant, because they might decide she and Omid were a detriment to the group. But she also hesitated because she didn't want to harm the baby. Kenny pretty much figured it out anyway because of her hesitation, and Lee probably had an accurate guess after seeing her reaction to the sonogram and the tape in Crawford.
